Considering the fight Foreman Vs. Qavi (Qavi surprised me very pleasantly, he even went on the offensive) - I would favor Qavi, not Galento.

I don't see Galento being able to solve Qawi's defense and technique. Also Galento would be getting hit a ton due to his own defensive issues. Galento also enjoyed being able to get under punches, which he would not be able to do here--Qawi would actually be able to get under Galento's hooks and shock him with giant counterpunches. I think it would probably be one of the most brutal beatings for its time and still end within 7.

Qawi would do better if he came in as a cruiserweight. The guy that fought Foreman at 222 was a pudgy lump of dough with 2 rounds in him; he posed no threat to Foreman so George let him work, tire out, and then won the fight.
Galento, for a guy that supposedly never trained and was, allegedly, a fat, lazy guy, fought a lot of rounds as a professional and he had a lot of late stoppages. It would not favor Qawi to be 222 in this fight because he didn't carry the weight as well-???- or as efficiently as did Galento. And Qawi never fought anybody that would be butting him, hitting him with elbows and sticking thumbs in his eyes and a lot of the bobbing, weaving and rolling is disrupted when a guy grabs you and lays on you. Especially if he isn't that much taller than you.

I am inclined to go with Galento here to be honest.

I get it that he was never body beautiful, but he was an absolutely devastating hitter, who you wouldn't want to be a smaller come forward fighter against.

Pick’em fight, if you put a gun to my head I’d say Qawi, but as I consistently say in Galento threads here, the man was not without tools or skills. People judge him by his appearance and shtick rather than what he could do to put whoop ass on opponents even in defeat.

Galento legit sucks and im not being hyperbolic. Qawi is one of greatest LHWs and Cruisers of all time, class over power.
