I would expect the despised beer barrel to win by knockout. He was a tremendous if untalented puncher.

I have seen an article calling him the despized beer barrel.

Not that he did not court that blend of infamy.

It was mobile, quick, Sneak hitters that gave Henry Trouble, Amos Johnson, Ali. Patterson Johanson, Not Short Fat fighters who looked for a Brawl, even late in his career, Henry was able to Jab Silly and stop undefeated Basque Puncher Jose Urtain, simply by playing Matador to Urtain's Bull, and thats how he could beat Galento, Not getting too involved using the Jab and slipping off to the side's Henry's wins it with his Jab and Legs, he is too intelligent to get involved with protracted Rough-housing which would be playing into Tony's Hands, who knows, could be like Urtain after 8 - 9 rounds of little success and eating Henry's double and triple Jab's perhaps Tony would be demorilised ? Could be Henry would Unleash his Hammer Late and not need to worry about scorecards, I think it would be Henry's fight to Win or Lose depending if he stuck to sound tatics.

    Cooper by wide wide UD.

Galento was nothing but a complete bum.
And all you amatuer historians can talk **** about how he was so underrated and was actually a reallly talented and game opponent...but he wasn't, he was just a total bum.
People just rush to glorify him in an attempt to mask the fact that a fat talentless bum managed to knock over Louis.

Fat perhaps, surly, un couth, dirty most definatly, but no Bum.
I don't think Galento was underated or overated. He is usually describe as he was. A tough, brawling opponent with a big left hook
    .
    Thats a new twist.

I think the real difference here is that Cooper was a legitimate fighter, while Galento was an overweight, out of shape slob who depended on mafia promoted fights and dirty tactics to go anywhere in life..

Cooper is the better man here.

    What makes you say that?

Gallento did beat some good fighters even without uding dirty tactics.

I think he was certainly a real contender if a rotund one.

In this context I would rather see the man from Jersey fight Tommy Farr.
