I think both would trade early, Henry Cooper was very game. But after a few rounds, Tony Galento would start to treat Henry like one of the patrons of the bar that he worked in and his left hook would soon end the night for the courageous Cooper. Tony by TKO 6 due to a badly lacerated eyebrow.
Galento, I think he’d simply be too tough for Henry. Henry would land and I think shake Galento up but Galento had a good chin and his dogged persistence I think would wear Henry down and he’d eventually get the knockout.
Whoever said Galento wasn't as good as Tua was undoubtedly correct. Tua certainly stops that dude at some point. As far as Galento-Cooper, I think Galento opens Henry's eye one way or another, and gets a mid-rounds TKO. Might be fun while it lasts though.
Offensively Cooper had what it took to hurt Galento. I just have some doubts about to exactly what extent he could take it in return. But Henry was better than people think. I was watching his fights with Ali not long ago and he didn’t do a bad job keeping up with Ali and landing that left hook.
