Lets say this bout never happened. Louis never ended up fighting Tony. If asked today, how do you think you'd predict the outcome of this fight?
The predictions made before the fight will give you a clue. Louis had dispatched his previous three opponents in the first round, and they included a former lineal heavyweigth champion, and a former lineal light heavyweight champion. The argument was all around whether Galento would make it out of the first round. One reporter actually predicted that Louis would kill Galento, literally not metaphorically.
Galento beat opponents that were ranked at the time and thst makes Galento world class even if he was fighting today and that means he has the ability to beat Louis.
I would have predicted a first round KO stoppage win for Louis. I think there might well be comments prior to the bout along lines of that, legitimising this utter mismatch, shows the sorry state of the heavyweight division......now where/when have i heard such a statement?
You've got it wrong. King Arthur removed his sword from David Tua's skull. Galento would too. With his teeth!
