How would Galento fair against the heavyweight versions of these fighters.

Jones and Toney both beat Ruiz and that is the only victory Jones at heavyweight and Toney's second best win at the weight. Ruiz fought in a negative style- a lot of holding and wrestling and a sneaky right hand. He fought a vey cautious, subdued fight with Jones.
Galento fought in a very different fashion and his power punch was his left hook. I don't think that Galento would be afraid to take the fight to either Jones or Toney; he wasn't afraid of Joe Louis. If that would make him successful in these fights, there is no way of knowing. They will never fight so it is just speculation. But I think that his bombs away style has a better chance of working against Jones than with Toney.

Mr Galento is an unorthodox fighter, a guy with terrible form to the eye and he sucks but when someone does that in HD… Galento is a man who fought 112 times with his wits intact, 6 stoppages and 79 wins, he made his money as a “circus attraction” to a degree… hot dogs and beer type who wasn’t a real athlete… you don’t accidentally fight for 15ish years and keep ticking through contenders and champions…he turned pro at 18, likely he figured it out himself as he went with little amateur experience, he’s a fat guy with a good chin and a left hook… because he’s not Samoan that means something else other then invincible destroyer. Galento deserves more credit for making it work in a very busy era he was fighting a lot - when and why like you say is more important then HOW it wasn’t pretty much neither was what Medina did, Bonavena, Fullmer / others… I can’t see why he wouldn’t be able to beat say Norton? The super athlete who was folded by a 188lbs Garcia lol.

Toney bashes him to bits… scary thought, Two Ton may actually be able to savage his way through Jones and I hate that, he’d make it the inverse of everything Jones wanted to do in the ring it’d be inside, ugly mauling - I can see Galento low blowing, head butting, elbowing, eye poking etc and RJJ looking for a out in TG’s day the ref will probably hit’m with the Drago special “if he dies he dies”
