Two er..Large characters not exactly known for their spartan dedication, but who could both lay claim to embarrassing a Great / Future Great amongst their sometimes erratic efforts, Meehan of course came from a time when the sanctity of rendered results was often open to question, but he went one up over Jack Dempsey, going 2-1-2 in their series, with Dempsey perhaps nearer to his undernourished Hobo days, than Championship Reign of Terror Day's, Meehan appeared to have something when in the mood, as his record also boasts a win over One samuel Langford. ( perhaps an interesting story attached to this ?)

Tony of course introduced the Great Joe Louis to the Canvas by dint of his powerful Left Hook, before the Brown Bomber adjusted his Bomb sights and did the expected, Tony also gave a frightful beating to Lou Nova..so with a fairly static target in the other corner both would probably feel confident ( and therefore Train accordingly or not as the case may be ?)

Two Tony Tony ? or can Weighty Willie frustrate another Mauler ?

Meehan would likley outpoint Galento in a four rounder, but your stipulation that the fight is fifteen rounds weights it in favour of Galento.

I would pick Willie Meehan over the fighting beer keg Galento over a 4 rd bout. But in a 12 rd bout the bigger Galento probably stops Meehan...
It irks me to read that Dempsey lost a 4 rd decision to the Sammy Angott like
grabber Meehan, therefore Dempsey coming up {BEFORE Jack Kearns] ,wasn't much of a fighter by some Dempsey naysayers...There was seldom a fighter who in their careers
was not behind after 4 rds. Meehan was considered king of the 4 rounders, a much better version of Butterbean much later. Meaningless in the overall picture... Dempsey did drop
Meehan in their last 4 rd bout ,for what it's worth...
