  1. Been some similar threads on the Sunderland football message boards in the past about how he looks **** and wont make it and his father made the point of registering on the message boards and putting us all straight:rofl

No jab, no body work, no brain!

If he won't listen to one of world's most respected trainers, then he might as well be a doorman!

    Just brute strength really.

I think this is a bit over the top and out of order! Jaffa is a good fighter & sometimes it takes longer for a quality am turn in to a good pro. I think he will become a good fighter when he starts to relax and let's his punches flow. All the best Jaf

I don't disagree with ya much Arnie but do on this mate. The problem i think many including myself have with him is his refusal to accept criticism that is warranted. Some of the stick is banter. I seen you get far worse as well as Tony and Frankie.

I don't think anyone wants him to do bad but the more he moans and groans the more people think '**** ya'. If he doesn't accept he's got to majorly improve he will get beaten sooner rather then later.

Kenny Anderson will beat him, He's not ready for that level of opposition at all.

I'm yet to see any evidence of this. His latest performance was devoid of anything useful.

The lad can't seem to take on board any instructions or constructive criticism. It's just poor performance followed by ten excuses and repeat.

Unless there's a huge change in his mindset, then he'll go nowhere, in my opinion.

He's clearly struggling to adapt to the pro game, he did show a little bit of improvement on saturday night, he clearly needs time.

Needs to learn to relax more in the ring, if your tense you can't think straight, bet he selects his punches better in sparring. Maybe a couple of easy undercard fights in the states might settle the nerves without the contempt he would get if he did this here, or some public exhibitions as a publicity thing before big fights.

A lot of fighters just would have stopped trying against a real spoiler, credit to Jeffries for not doing that, hope the eye heals soon.

Like i said, he has more to offer going off his am background, but his last few fights have been woefull, basic flaws which need remedying now, not tomorrow or in a bit , now, or else he will get left behind.

Arnie, even you must have looked at him and was shaking your head with his basic mistakes:patsch

Give him time. He,s just taking longer than Degale etc to adjust to the pros. I still think he,ll have a meaningful belt this time next year.

i know the family well, tony is in it for what he can get out of it,doesnt love the sport,is terrified when he gets in there, loses all composure, watched him spar with travis dickinson (prizefighter winner) a while back and absolutely schooled him,a think hes one of those with talent but on the occasion just doesnt deliver.gets homesick when hes over there too,his dad is a character to put it lightly...

That happens to alot of boxers they get to tense when trying to hard. I really think he can do something but just gonna take a while longer. Yes Jaf wanted to come to my gym.
