Tony Jeffries - When will he have his break out fight?

Sorry it was his second opponent. I remember it as we got a card in Sunderland on Sky before the Hatton-Pac fight came on.

No - good spot. I didnt check - I vaguely remember some of the commentary talk about his pro debut fight - but obviously they were talking about his home debut.:good

 

Yeh his next opponent is decent. He is at light heavy now. Have him pick up the english before the year is out and take over from Clev and Bellew domesticly in 2011.

Also just because Groves and others are fast tracked doesnt mean Jeffries has to be. I would have him top 10 in the country so he os doing ok.

 

I was at his pro debut in Barnsley - and can safely say the opponent was crap.

Was a bit surreal to be honest, a few hundred Leicester binmen/women, a few hundred drunks from Sunderland and a few Spanish..... in Barnsley of all places.

Not exactly a hot bed for multiculturalism :yep

 

Their football team is always quite cosmopolitan, crammed full of random foreigners :yep

Barnsley is multicultural...we have Kebab shops, Chinese takeaways, Indians, McDonalds, a Polish cafe (racist ****s), a Cypriot fish and chip shop...many Somali's doing Somali stuff and loads of Albanian muggers and rapists...oh and a cage fighter from somewhere eastern european...

I think it is a decent venue placement wise as it is near the M1 so everyone can get to it simple plus was Haskins on that night? Can not remember.

Barnsley is pretty much a **** hole though....

 

I don't remember..... I remember a couple of really shitty decisions on that card though.

Barnsley is alright I think, from my limited experience.

 

It will probably be a while. He's pretty far behind DeGale, Groves and Gavin in terms of fundamentals.

 

The one thats expected to be his break out fight will probably be his first loss if he carries on the way he has.

 

Over 8 rounds Nathan King would have stopped him I think..... he was all over the place at times.

The score of 59-56 was pretty generous.... 58-57 was about right :yep

 

Yep. I am sure it was the night Haskins got robbed ot robbed the opponent. Hyland robbed the opponent as well.

Barnsley looks ok in the dark...in the daylight it can be awful..mainly due to the 70's eastern block style we have through out the town.
