Anyone know where the hell he is??

He represented Australia in the 52, 56 & 60 Olympics... winning a Bronze medal. Also 3 Commonwealth Games for 2 Gold Medals and a Silver.. Boxed Cassius Clay 2x ..

Hope to find him soon. Said to be living in London....... or Italy....... or Germany............ or France.

Anyone who might have an old mate who once knew him, or might still know him, please ask!!

If Tony Hood can't help, I'd suggest 'Fearless' Fred Casey (former heavyweight & opponent & mate of Madigan). But you'll need to track him down!

Fred's in Qld.. No worries there CHB. Will ring a friend of Fred in the morning and see where that leads.. Not sure if Ollie Taylor is still in the land of the living?? He was also good mates with Madigan.. Dawn Fraser might be another to contact??

There was a good article in one of the newspapers on Fred perhaps 12 months ago. He made mention of Madigan in it, but I can't remember where he said he was though. If memory serves correct it was o/s somewhere, and perhaps a fairly exotic location?

Tony is into his sailing from memory...maybe you could try speaking to a few players in that game who might have contact with him.

Dont know if he still does but he supposedly spends the European summers somewhere in a place he has/had on the Mediterranean.

Monte Carlo was his scene in the '70s. It's possible that London is his home now.. Have a few faces checking there at the moment.. Just amazed that he's snuck away for now.

Well CHB, he's not in a graveyard.. lol. I'm yet to talk with him, although I was given his address today and intend to make another call to get his number.

80y/o... Roger Hagan still rides his bike at 91 y/o, so I would guess Madigan is in fine health. I look forward to giving a lengthy report to you guys.

I thought I'd read that Tony Madigan became a successful businessman in America

He's a retired multi millionaire living in London mate. The news comes from a bloke who is older than Madigan himself....

Speaking of tough toward impossible assignments, how's operation Madigan progressing?

...and how's your phone bill looking?

Opration Madigan is a success so far CHB.. The phone calls have been quite limited actually. Having to play a waiting game at the moment before calling him due to several other Madigan connected issues that are on the resolution table at the moment... It's doing my head in mate.. Either way, hope to be in touch this week and able to enlighten him to news.
