Tony 'Man of Steel' Zale v Bad Bennie Briscoe

He beat Hostak 3x who was bigger than Monzon and is regarded as one of the hardest hitting MW's ever along with Apostoli who was definitely a higher quality fighter than Bennie, a physical beast, and scored KO's over champions like YC3, Kreiger, Steele (granted he had a pre existing injury), and handed Billy f'ing Conn the worst beating of his career (by his own admission) and left him looking like a Mummy. I'm comfortable thinking he was a stronger and bigger puncher than Bennie based on that so thinking Zale couldn't take a good right hand seems like a stretch.

 

I think Bennie has a shot of beating post-war Zale, but the one of first won the championship is probably a bridge too far.
