I often wonder where 'Big Lil's' regulars have moved to?? My only guess can be The Three Legs :think. Everytime I walk past there i either see some bloke running in with what looks like stolen goods or blokes piling out and having a brawl in the street :bbb.

Three Legs, Stick and Twist, Spencers, General Elliot :think

What is that place opposite where Rawcliffes used to be down near the Corn Exchange.... proper scruffy place just before you turn right towards brb and bottom Rev's :think

Always plenty of scruffs outside there having a smoke of something :yep

I like your style, harsh but ultimately true.

:good Whoever said the sentence was harsh obviously knows **** all about the legal system, for kidknapping and **** i would fully expect (and have seen dished out on more than one occasion in court) a ten year plus sentence
Before anyone mentions venables or any other case i am fully aware that the legal system is a joke and they are very different crimes, just going on the charges of kidknapping and **** salam is a very lucky boy

But there isnt much difference in terms of sentencing guidelines depending on the severity of the attack

Jesus H christ...he hasn't been convicted of "**** and Kidnap."

He's been convicted of "sexually assaulting a woman and holding her prisoner at her own home."

Still not right and he deserves his sentence but twisting it into something it isn't...

True, i only read the last page of the thread :patsch in which it was stated that **** and kidknapp were the alledged charges, just read the full story now and i would still say 6 years is pretty fair for the actual two charges he's been done for

Wasn't just aimed at you dude, quite a few people seem to be getting the whole thing wrong.

But yes, definitely deserves his sentence.

Can see why someone might behave like he did but it doesn't make it right.

I think i know where you mean, the one right near Hi-Fi club? Looks a right dive. Never ventured in. Good call on General Elliott, although i sometimes wonder whether they just put cardboard cut outs of people, on the seats near the window, as it's always the same people sitting in them, not moving . The Duncan is always an experience aswell. The people in there look like they live in the sewers every night :deal

Yeah, just on the other side of the road.... is it next to the Subway?

I once went in the Elliott for a pint after building college on day.... some right characters.

    Where is the Duncan?

Ah, I think you're on about The Duncan actually! I was thinking of somwehere else on the same street as Hi-Fi. The Duncan is that dirty, sandy coloured pub right next to subway :good. Seriously, when you get a chance go in for a pint (the beer is suprisingly well kept). You''ll walk out of there thinking you've just been back to the 1800's or something .
