Watching Sibbo against Hagler got me thinking how Tony would have faired in a dust up with Nigel ?

Both guys fight coming forward and both carry enough power to get the job done inside the distance.

I'm leaning towards Sibson to stop the somewhat reckless middleweight version of Benn somewhere around the midway mark.

    Who you guys got here?

For the record i think any version of Benn after the first Eubank fight wins.

Benn climbs off the canvas and KO's Sibson in a very good shootout.

While both men have power, the tiebreaker here is Sibbo's faster hands. I think he lands the cleaner shots and either takes a UD or late TKO.

    Sibson by tko

The difference is that Tony has a defense while Benn has none. Benn would catch air most of the night.

Sibbo who is probably at least as strong, patiently & methodically picks him apart with jabs, crosses, & hooks to the head & body in an absolutely brilliant performance. tko between the 5th & 8th

Benn is a little too quick. I see this similar to the Dewitt fight which some might not agree with.

Well Sibson at his best was a fair bit better than a washed up Doug DeWitt, so yes you may well be out on your own again MAG.

    fitter? I doubt it

During Hagler's reign, Benn would fall into the middle to lower half of the pack

He would give Kinchen a tough fight

Benn's chin was inferior to Tony's, plus too many holes in his defense

that would cost him the fight. Tony's fast hands would slice N dice him

    :patsch

I guess u just had to be there

VERY poor comparison BTW. Dewitt was a tough crowd pleaser, nothing more, and never made it to the status of a top contender

benn was a hell of a lot fiter than sibson and was one of the most diligent of fighters were fitness was concerned.
i can remember lottie mwale beating him as well as eddie smith, who wasnt world class and kevin finnegan who was.
    benn wins

how would u prove something like that? are u saying Sibson wasn't fit? if not, how fit did he have to be? Do u think Mickey Duff let him climb into the ring in improper physical condition? if so, how did he manage to beat Minter, Davison, & Collins who, was favored to beat him?

btw, the loss to Mwale was well before Tony cracked the top ten.
