This would be a brutal war between two heavy handed middleweight brawlers built like bulls... who wins?

I've often wondered this myself. Hagler dominated Tony but at a time when he was still at his peak. No longer at his peak against Roldan but at the same time, the opposition was getting pretty stiff. Marvin tried to box him like he did Tony but Juan was just coming in too fast, non stop-and I mean non stop. He didnt give Marv the chance to box.

I have to go with Roldan here who may have shaded this fight without the mishap/injury.

Im assuming 10 rounds here? I think Sibson may have edged it on points. He would have had to survive some scares though. Poor old Roldan had to face Hagler, Hearns and a peak Nunn (when Roldan was pretty much done anyway) in his title challenges. He would have been a champ in many other eras. I actually think peak Roldan beats peak Nunn for example.

I think Roldan takes Toney out late.

Tony would keep chipping away for a win, maybe.

But I really think that Roldan would be too much for him.

Regardless, a hard, tough fight for both men.
