Is anybody seeing anything in this guy that I'm not ..... Comes across clueless and a puppet as if someone has there hand up his ass working his mouth. , Ive saw a few videos on youtube of his pad work also and it's shambolic and amateur looking to say the least , I know he's related to Hearn but that aside what's his credentials in boxing , never comes across clear in between rounds the way Joe Gallagher/Billy Nelson gives out clear direct instruction , Also this always sticks in my mind. Lee Purdy failed the scales twice Mitchell fcuked the Ibf check weight and Burns made an arse of the weight for zlatacanin , This makes me also think he's a poor conditioner and his crew of fighters aren't been pushed hard enough. If Ricky continues I'd gladly see him back up the road guided by billy with the aid of planned nutrition as I've saw first hand all guys in that gym leave that gym with no stone unturned , I just can't see Simms credentials anywhere
Think he's a good trainer But don't think what he is doing with burns is working Think ricky would be better with joe Gallagher or back up the road with billy Nelson
You can't polish a turd and that's exactly what Burns has become. For that you can blame Billy Nelson.
I was within earshot mate and he offers no clear installation of instruction or tactics. Ricky's better with the devil he knows as the one he don't IMO
I have never seen a Sims fighter who doesn't run out of steam late in a fight except for Barker and it was Wayne Leal who done his fitness work. Billy has clearly learned the art of getting fighters fit to max from Peter Harrison, and it works. Also look at Gallagher he does it with his fighters. Maybe its because Londoners are generally soft
Exactly the kinda thing I've picked up on. If I was learning Peter Harrison. Would be the man guys a legend and world renowned
Here was me thinking Kevin Mitchell KO'ed Maduma in the 11th...If that's not a good example of a conditioned fighter I don't know what is. You sweaty socks don't half talk some bollocks.
Conditioning, he never made the weight, so was heavier than guy, and he never needed to drain down in weight like his opponent so should have been fresher. If you think that fight proves great conditioning for Sims fighters your mad, worst conditioning possible a fighter blowing chance of world title fight as cant make weight after a so called 16 week training camp
All I know is Ricky used to be super fit and toned working with Billy, could have done 15 rounds, that old format would have suited him better, but now with Sims he has a fat belly in a fight. I think we all seen clear evidence that his conditioning has went down hill. Ricky is one boxer I never thought would enter a ring with a belly, he also needs to look in mirror and start training harder
I was wondering this myself, mainly thinking is Anthony Joshua in safe hands? He is certainly susceptible to stamina issues. Would he be better with Booth? Not because I think Booth is the answer to everything, but he does have more heavyweight training experience and seems to have trained fighters to a higher standard than Simms.
Get the feeling as long as eddie's missus has business interests with sims daughter then the likes of Joshua won't leave him
