even though tony gave wlad some problems in their last fight i can see only 1 winner here im afraid, wlad on points
I haven't seen much of thompson since he plodded around with vlad a few years back, unless he's improved a awful lot I can only see the same outcome maybe even an earlier stoppage.
He's the right size, a southpaw and I think Wlad will take him lightly. He's really quite an intelligent guy, listened to an interview and he was very frank about what went wrong and believes he has rectified it.
There's always a few... but I didn't expect you would be one of them Lilo :blood Even some picked Mormeck (like Tyson, only faster) over Wlad last time, so it's not that strange actually.
Thompson to win by stoppage in any individual early round is around 200/1. Certainly not a bad bet. Surely The Tiger ticks most boxes that's needed to beat Wladimir. 6'6, southpaw, one punch KO power, top 10 ranked fighter, actually gave him a tough fight before and is the last man to trouble him, pretty decent chin, fights in an aggressive come forward manner. I think all that above makes it worth a few small bets to cover Thompson by early stoppage.
Thompson was 40/1 to stop wlad last week with Boylesports, I'm kicking myself for missing that price however unlikely it actually is.
James Cameron just KTFO4 Monte Barrett... so if Thompson wins tomorrow the world will probably end right that instance. :scaredas: This content is protected
Thompson is looking in grreeeeaaat shape to be fair... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2PFvPBoKRg"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2PFvPBoKRg[/ame]
Unless you're willing to explain why Thompson wins this one I don't think you can get credit if the huge upset happens. A person can predict the underdog in every fight they watch- it doesn't mean they suddenly know **** about boxing on the rare occasion the upset happens
Its extremely rare that I pick the underdog especially when they are as big a long shot as Thompson is. Ok then, in addition to what I said previously: Wlad's frame of mind: Wlad has been pretty untouchable since Sam Peter I, he has beaten all opponents since then pretty comfortably either by KO or virtual shutout. He has beaten the guy widely regarded to be his biggest threat in Haye. I think he may have become complacent especially since he's fighting Thompson again. He 'rematched' Peter but he must of felt he had to erase the memory of those knockdowns; with TT he has already KO'd him and probably won't be as up for this. Thompson's physical attributes: He's fought six guys since TT all of which were considerably smaller than him. Only one was a southpaw (Chagaev) but even he is quite short. Wlad hasn't fought anyone close to his height for years, let alone his height and a southpaw. WK isn't as safety first as he was the last fight, this alongside possible complaceny and him not being used to the kind of fighter TT is, may leave him susceptible to counters or even being caught cold. We all know Wlad has had trouble with tall southpaws before hey Corrie). Thompson's frame of mind: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pVP4sqArbI&feature=player_embedded[/ame] This gives a good insight into where he's at mentally. I like how he is brutally honest about the first fight which can only help him. He's put together a decent run with many KOs; that's the best way to restore confidence. I wonder who Wlad has had in for sparring, Audley aside, I can't think of many who can replicate TT. Oh and Manny Steward hates southpaws just ask Lennox!
