I disagree. Thompson took this fight on short notice. He has taken on the best fighters for the last 3 years. I have a lot of respect for Thompson.
Don't forget that he retired Solis, who was always out of shape.

I can only assume you don't know what BMI is.

Thompson's time has passed, he's not even a gatekeeper these days, he's a journeymen brought into lose, nothing more.

Could he of showed up in better shape, yes of course he could but let's not pretend he ever had a chance, why bother if your only showing up for a payday, any ambition Thompson had, has long since gone.

Why he's a world class American fighter who actually owns a passport and he'll fight anyone and everyone? And anyone who has the courage to step foot in the same time zone as somebody wearing an outfit as horrifically garish and un-colour coordinated as this let alone inside a ring with them deserves the utmost respect.

He deserves massive respect, this is the only guy who wants to fight anybody in the heavyweight division in their back yard. It is time to retire now, obviously.

Thompson had his trainer holding his walking stick in the corner. The old fool should have never took the fight. This wasnt a morbidly obese 300 pound cuban fighter he was fighting this time. Ortiz was here to win. Next time I see old Tony, I bet his trainer we'll be holding his zimmer frame. He needs to retire before Price comes back for his revenge.

I still believe that Thompson would probably win again if he fought Price for the third time.
