Tony Thompson Calls Out David Haye

Golden Boy is promoting Haye now. I'm pretty sure they can get that changed.

 

All true, but does Haye really want that challenge?

 

...nah, Tony has become a household name on the continent...after however many million people got to watch the KLIT fight and build up for free over there.

 

Why would they start talking? No one even knows who the hell Thompson is. It would be stupid to fight a no name fighter who makes for boring fights. It doesn't need to fight a soft touch. However, he needs to be matched up with someone who will make for an exciting fight.

 

I would be happy to see Haye fight my boy, David "Nino" Rodriguez!!

This guy is a serious puncher with an unbelievable KO ratio!!

I have a feeling a lot of Heavyweights are going to avoid him though!!

 

Thompson is hardly a household name. That fight got **** ratings in the States.

 

Haye would knock Thompson out, Thompson did nothing against Wlad (who was on an off night himself)

 

This fight could be a good statement for Haye to make. If he dispatches Thompson with ease, it would be a contrast to the 11 rounds it took Wlad. (although Wlad did it pretty easily too, just not recklessly)
It also provides Haye with the chance to fight a big, tall, guy, good practice for the jumbo sizes heavys.

I predict that Haye would defeat thompson , as Thompson simply is not a very good fighter.

 

I think it would be an exciting fight: A fast, power punching counter puncher vs. a guy with a busy workrate, good defense & a solid chin.

 

I think this is a fight that everyone wants to see except bunce because if Haye gets KTFO he is going to sound as bad as enzo calzaghe.

 

He's not a top ten at this point, but I genuinely think that Haye would have a very tough time with this guy...If he signed with DK or Golden Boy, he would have been a top ten by now.

Look at his promo...his power and hand speed are awesome!!

 

Are you kidding? Haye was probably more eager to fight Rahman after Rahman quit like he did against light punching Toney.

 

The ratings in the states don't matter...it's recently come out how disapointed HBO has been with WLAD's ratings...

...which is why HBO made that last minute unsuccesful grab for the Peter-VITKLIT fight after passing on it initially.

HBO will just make sure to bid first next time on a Sam Peter fight, and they can keep letting WLAD tank in the ratings.
