I wish Chambers would rematch Povetkin.

People have accused them of not wanting to fight because they're firends. I have no idea if there is any truth to that but if the back troubles are as serious as they sound it could be extra trouble for Chambers considering that alot of his defense relies on his unorthodox leaning back from the waist whan avoiding punches.

Terrible news, surely there needs to be a replacement for Chambers. The eliminator still needs to take place....

That fight doesnt make any sense. He was timid the first time and now after knowing Wlad can knock him out he is going to be even more timid.

IDK....in 3 yrs since his loss to Wlad he's 5-0 5KOs vs 4 respectable opponents....most impressively against Harris, who almost no one looks impressive against.

I can understand why he would be more timid after that KO, but you have to think he realizes he's 40 and another lose will drop him out of contention for a few more years. So why not leave it all on the table.

Only problem with that is besides his height and reach, which nullifies Wlad's advantages in those spots, I see him as being super slow and sluggish.

I never really believed that Chambers wanted the Wlad rematch so I was surprised when Chambers-Thompson was made. That said, given that the fight ended up on Showtime, it's a also little surprising that Chambers backed out.

What bothers me is how convienient this is for Goosen. Now Thompson gets the title shot without the L on Chambers' record.

Looking at the current IBF Top 15....who would fight Thompson by the end of the year? Harris has already been beaten...you know maybe Meehan would take the fight, if they could put some money up... Banks and Ustinov also. They should have asked these guys for a fight before simply making Thompson the mandatory....it stinks of corruption.

Hopefully Wlad finishes him earlier this time
