No wonder Vitali is claiming it was a kick to the thighs that stopped him.

In Vittard land your ass is where your mouth should be.

(Ranking Vitali above Wlad on the ATG list is the stupidity I call out)

Hmmm... methinks The Tiger is showing the Wlad respect in order to be considered for another shot (if he gets past Price again).
Can't say I blame him.. in his 40's, could well be his last shot.

Have you seen WSB boxer and olympic gold medallist Oleksander Usyk? He'll be turning pro later this year, an incredible heavyweight talent from Ukraine. He's a 6'3 southpaw, a bit on the smallish side (around 210) but he has incredible skills for a heavyweight. Could make some serious noise in the years to come imo.

Yes, he's very talented. I'll be following his pro career.

A few people who post on this forum have no respect for Wladimir, but the American heavyweight contenders like Jennings, Wilder, and Thompson have a lot of respect for him. :good

And those contenders' opinions are much more important than the opinions of those few obsessive Klitschko haters.

So, Wlad is an ATG because he won an Olympic gold medal? Audley Harrison won a gold medal as well.

And Foreman, Frazier and Ali won Olympic gold. Are you saying Muhammed Ali is not an all-time great because he won Olympic Gold?

    Of course it's meaningful.

But Wlad, Ali, Frazier and Foreman did it when they were young, while Audrey Harrison was in his late 20s and fighting much younger guys in the 2000 Olympics.

The point was that gold medals don't translate to success in the pros.

Only an ATG can find the motivation and desire to dominate for as long as Wladimir has. His fighting style may be appalling sometimes but he's definitely an ATG.
