Why didn't Wlad want an immediate rematch with Sanders?

Wlad and Sanders fought on 3/8/03, and after Sander's tko'd Wlad, Sanders next fight was 4/4/04. Why no immediate rematch with Sanders?:huh:blood

So if you want to be an ATG you have to rematch all opponents you lost to? What if opponents retire (or worse: get hit by a bus) after winning against you? Then you can never be an ATG? :rofl

    Single most stupid criteria ever.

Wladimir is obviously an ATG, He will rank on the top 10 ATG if he sticks around, becomes undisputed, defend the undisputed title till he surpasses Joe Louis reign in time and #...which is possible and worth the effort...his only threat is Wilder right hand

This has been discussed here ad nauseum. Sanders and Universum (Wlad's promoter) had rematch clauses, but Sanders decided to break the contract, drop the WBO belt and be promoted by Lewis and Ogun for his WBC title shot. Universum sued him and had a lengthy court battle with Sanders. Sanders retired before the court battle (which he lost) was over .

Legal politics and Sanders' advanced age made it impossible for Wlad to rematch him.

Wlad is the favorite due to established stats, but Wilder is the favorite to score a dramatic KO

I am not sure how it will go...I am certain it will be exciting...I want Wladimir to break Joe Louis reign record, but I also want an Undefeated 100% KO Undisputed Heavyweight Champion

Not a big difference if the odds are tempting I will bet on Wilder right hand, only if Wilder haters put their money where their mouth at...making him a clear underdog

Again I have no reason to oppose any fight...this fight is the best fight out there. I have no clue what will exactly happen, if Wilder upsets Wladimir...which should be by KO, then it's history. If Wlad wins, good record on his resume.

It can't go wrong, unless we have a decision...which will be very disappointing :dead

Wilder has no survival mode...either KO or KO...I honestly think he showed ignore folks who want him to become like everyone else, Wilder should focus on more offense, stamina so he can be dangerous every second of the round for more than 4 rounds if it becomes necessary to go more than 4 rounds :yep

No point of trying to outbox Wladimir. The only edge Wilder has is the off balance leaping windmill right hand...there is no way to stop it...if it keeps coming, it will start hitting home, which will force Wlad to go for the KO himself :smoke

No. Wlad won't ever be an ATG. Many boxers have dominated weak opposition and were not clebrated. You have to achieve greatness and Wlad never did.

Larry Homes was on Rigside special last week. They talked about all the heavyweights weights except Klitschko. Its like he dosen't dont exist.

Current champions are never talked about when talking about historic champions.

You think anyone talked about Lewis when discussing Marciano and Ali in the late 90s? Fighters start being appreciated after they retired, not before.

Wrong. They commented about the current state of the division and why its lacking. Never even mentioning Klitschkos because they have no revelance.
The 90's was never seen that way. Lewis was a worldwide star when he was active.

    Absoulte bull****.

Sanders was locked into a rematch with Wlad but Wlad wanted NOTHING to do with it. If Sanders refused to rematch Wlad k2 would NOT give him a shot at Vitali.
Wlad got big bro to avenge his loss and it wasn't the first time.

In a time when Wlad sholud be making an impact and looking to define his career he is disgracing the sport and fighting the worst opposition imaginable.
Whatever legacy he had is now being flushed down the shitter.
