    Except in women's sports.

The absolute blatant doping on the 70s and 80s means that most women's track and field records are About 30 years old

    Exactly. :good
And the explanation is simple enough. Female athletes and their coaches/drug gurus are more aware now that what those athletes were doing in the '70s and '80s has the small side effect of turning them into men. It was blatant use of testosterone and the heavily-"androgenic" steroids, that female athletes wouldn't touch now.

(Also, those drugs are fairly crude substances and easier to test for than modern 'designer' steroids and HGH, so some of the heavy throwing MEN's events records of those eras still stand I believe too (national records, maybe some world records), because those pure strength heavy disciplines benefit from taking loads of everything - like powerlifter too.)

I originally thought TT was legitimately on HCTZ solely for his hypertension. But this new interview should cause any doubter to seriously consider if he roided. :verysad

Of course he would need or want to believe that you need drugs to compete, that's the thing that would justify him using them. Look at when it appears JMM started with PED's, only when Pac was suspicious to high hell. Before that he assumed Pac was clean with no problem. So he had no problem being clean.

"They're all using" is a cheaters mentality for athletes. And for fans it's a way for some them to convince themselves that either they are now even ground, or it's ok for me to support this cheater. Most athletes, especially in boxing, are not cheating because they have very large egos that make them believe they could beat someone even if they were cheating. Then you add the deterrents of testing , and the shame of being caught and the "they're all on it" argument becomes idiotic.

    In regards to Anthony Joshua,
The guy is around 6'5 - his debut weight was 230lbs [not particularly heavy for a man of his height, BUT], around 12-14 months later he's coming in the high 240s, his last fight he weighed 248 lbs.
A 24 year old man, does not gain 18lbs of muscle in 12-15 months without taking PEDs. Keep in mind, AJ wasn't a beginner lifter at the age of 24, he was already a fully developed man - he's not going to experience the famous 'beginner gains' you get when you first start weight training.
There is absolutely no doubt that AJ is on PEDs in my mind, and I'm sure he's part of a very long list of fighters who are on....
