Malik Scott ring superiority vs Tony Thompson physicality. I expect both to show up in their best form, Winner of this fight gets a title shot...With Cunningham & Tarver out of the picture, winners next immediate fight could be a title shot vs Wlad/Wilder
A shame most people disrespecting Scott have no clue how much of a fine boxer he is. Unfortunately for Scott, he can't defeat Wlad/Wilder because his main game is out boxing opponents utilizing his height/reach which has a lot of advantages in the Heavyweight division, since shorter heavies are out of shape compared to Welters or Feathers & never had enough energy to pressure Scott for 12 His breakdown vs Wilder was mental before anything, he was uncomfortable facing a puncher who outranged him, an unfamiliar territory for him. Scott could have became a champion had he faced a reigning Maskev or Rahman or Seldon, it's just this Era with massive Super Heavyweight champions
Tony chin is very good, but Wilder will win...either forcing a stoppage or out boxing TT using his ring superiority Ala his schooling of reigning World Heavyweight Champion Stiverne
? Solis is his career biggest win. Price has never even established himself as a legit top 20 hw. That said, he's so old he could go at any time. I'm picking Thompson by stoppage, but if it goes to the cards I think Scott will get it.
Stiverne > Seldon Stiverne > Rahman Stiverne > McCall Wilder did what no one expected, 12rds of schooling without even coming close to fading/hugging Ala Other Giant Heavyweights
Hope Thompson can pull it off... Has the bigger heart. Hard to pull for Scott after his "performances" against Chisora and Wilder. Scott will be tough for him if he's actually here to win though, from a technical stand point there's not much he does wrong.... If anything is holding him back it's his sparring partner mentality, and lack of any sort of power. He's essentially a HW version of Malignaggi in many ways....... But I like Thompson by UD... He wants it more, is skilled enough not to get his ears boxed off by Scott and so on. It's going to be very close though, regardless of which way it goes. Scott winning wouldn't shock me one bit.
Stiverne isn't better than a 45 version of McCall, nevermind a prime one... Likewise Rahman and Seldon in their primes are way better than Stiverne as well.
