What do you have to do to get a shot at Fury? He is not world champion, Thompson would easily be his toughest opponent.

 Thompson couldn't step in at a weeks notice with no sparring or roadwork.

The guy walks round at 300+ and will just be a punching bag in there.

the reason your average journeyman can turn up on short notice is because they stay in the gym in-between fights.

Thompson's not touched the gym since the Pulev fight.

    Some off his tweets though...

    :rofl:rofl:lol:

Instead of KO1 or KO2 Haye, KO 4 or 5 Thompson. Fury is a bum.

Nothing to do with being 'a throwback', the guy wants money

If I was fury I'd take the tony fight. Haye is going to destroy him.

Thomspon would be a great replacement at short notice, much Kudos to him for wanting the fight under these circumstances.

But I can't see team Fury taking the risk. Thompson is too risky a loss would ruin a big pay day with Haye. But according to Fury's dad they now no longer want Haye so they really have no excuses for not taking the Thompson fight.

Even Pulev would face difficult to beat Fury right now if he wanted to take the fight. But Pulev fights for glory instead of money.

Team Fury wants another opponent to satisfy the fans.

I don't see why the show doesnt go on.....

There are a dozen top 100 fighters out there who would jump at the opportunity, and any one of them would be a decent stay busy fight for Fury, including Tony Thompson.

Who's standing in the way????? Anyone know???:huh
