The fact that an out of shape 43 year old who took up boxing in his 20s is a top ranked HW says it all

Fight is postponed until Nov 22.

I hope Thompson wins again. He'd be a great test for Anthony Joshua.

He's a fearless ring warrior, who'll fight anybody, anywhere, anytime as long as the money is right.

Solis should win the rematch. Shouldn't have lost that fight really. Needs to take a long hard look at him self. Fat blubber.

It's not like the first fight was the Thrilla in Manila

Not sure why they’re having this rematch, but at any rate Solis is just a myth and phantom as far as I’m concerned. There has been a lot of talk over the years about his great talent, but I have never seen it materialize in the ring. Whatever talent he might have is nowhere near enough to make up for his terrible work ethic and lack of competitive spirit. He fought an absolute dog of a fight the first time against Thompson.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: short and fat is not a good recipe for success in the heavyweight division.

What's he going to do different? He's gonna come in fat as always. Solis is only fighting these days to keep up with the monthly payments for his gold spongebob necklace.

    Easy decision for Thompson.

  14. I like Thompson, but he’s obviously a step short of world level. Solis needs to stop eating burgers. Solis was two-time amateur world champ and olympic champ at Heavyweight – NOT superheavyweight. He then won the amateur world championship at super heavy in 05, yes, and beat some great names in doing so, but my point is that he spent most of his time at 200lbs. He weighed 271 against Monte Barret. Literally ate his career away. Phenomenal talent. At only 6’1 1/2" and 79" reach he’s always going to be at a disadvantage at heavyweight, but carrying 50lbs of blubber around makes things unnecessarily difficult.

Solis' mobility was critical to his success in heavyweight amateur fights. Ge also has his handspeed and wingspan (reach) which enabled him to win championships in the super heavyweight division as well.

Solis got down to like 247 and looked pretty decent in the one round vrs Vitali but was still like 20 lbs overweight and injured himself.
