Why haven't I been watching this guy? I was over the moon when he beat down Price twice. I'm definitely going to watch his more recent fights.

He lost clearly to Pulev and Takam. I have a lot of respect for TTT, but he´s not world class. He would be a great opponent for talents like Hughie, Joshua or Parker at the end of this year, to see if they are ready for world level.

Sir, what are you talking about? To say Tony is not world class is BS. Both Takam and Pulev fights were close, but Tony ran out of gas at some point. He's 43 years old after all. To give top contenders good fights at that age and being called not world class, come on. Hughie, Joshua, Parker at the end of the year? Don't you remember Tonys fights with Price? They would share the same fate if they fought him this year. By any chance, aren't you a Briton living in Netherlands?

Anyway, I love grandpa Tony. He's great personality and is a very good fighter. He's like a cat in that ring, so what if a little slow. Cheers for the Tiger. :good

I see Tony as the gatekeeper to world class. He is not good enough for the top, but too good for guys like Solis. He always fights good competition. Why I would like to see the younger guys vs Thompson, is to see if they can back up what all people say, that they are the next big thing. Tony would be a great test for all of them, if they share the same faith as Price, they are just not good enough.
By the way, I am 100% Dutch and proud of it.

Chances of the fight happening very unlikely I would have thought. Risk vs reward and all that.

I wonder where this crew of 4-5 Cubans on the forum is who were praising Solis as the next HW king. Disappeared into thin air ever since Solis embarrassed himself with that 1 rounder vs. Vitali.

Would love to see Thompson Solis 3. We need a comical trilogy in the heavyweight division. Tony with his walker, and Solis fighting in his wheel chair, because he's became the worlds fattest cuban.
