I also dont like matchups that aren't prime for prime. What's the point if one man is at a disadvantage? Kinda like asking who's a better running back a prime Jim Brown or a last season Peyton with 2 hamstring pulls and a swollen ankle. What's the point?

Yes, each to his own but that's how I feel.
The other side of the coin is that most matches aren't peak because ''peak" is a fleeting thing .
If I'm thinking matchup however I always think peak v peak as once you are away from peak it becomes more and more subjective as to where a fighters' ability is at.

Larry Holmes spanks this drug addict Tubbs back onto the streets and back onto the crack pipe.

    Holmes via WIDE UD,

I would like to ask the so called experts here, who the hell did Tubbs beat? What are his top 3 career best wins. Try not to mention who he lost against.

    Jimmy Young
    Bonecrusher Smith
    Greg Page
    Jesse Ferguson
    Bruce Seldon
    Everett Martin
    Tyrell Biggs
    Jose Ribalta

You can pick holes in those ( as you could with anybody's wins/CV) ..but you asked and there they are.
It's not a bad list of names for a guy with issues.
I look at it more as to what he achieved despite having addictive issues.
He was a world champ , who achieved more than most.
A wasted talent yes, but a talent nontheless.

I gotta say it is pathetic and adolescent the way the mods set up the sensor to X out certain words within words

Holmes knocked out Bonecrusher twice and beat Jesse Ferguson, Bigfoot Martin and Jose Ribalta, too. The Tubbs-Biggs "fight" was a three-round decision in a one-night tournament. (So was the Ribalta win, now that I think about it.)

Tubbs' best wins are probably Page and Seldon.

Tubbs gets a lot of respect for his boxing ability. But he doesn't have the wins.

I still think Holmes outworks Tubbs throughout and stops Tubbs late. Or just comes out fast and stops him early. Tubbs could be overwhelmed early if you jumped on him. Far lesser guys pulled it off.

I don't disagree with your thoughts.
I was just asked to list his significant wins.
They were the ones I came up with.
