Kenny Norton beat Jimmy young in a wbc title eliminater, afterword s Ken was awarded the vacant title belt. What if young was replaced by the Tony tucker who defeated Douglas?
Tucker can box and had a solid chin. He came from behind to beat buster and took tyson all the way. How does he perform against the Norton who wasn't far from giving holmes hell? 15 rounds?

With Tucker not having the firepower to keep Norton honest I'd go for a Norton dec.

I've gone for Kenny myself. He still had enough to give holmes 15 hard rounds, so he takes tucker over the same distance here. With no devastating puncher in front of him ken's happy to do his work. Tucker s a decent boxer so he has a little success with his jab but Norton s aggressive, x armed style rattles tucker.

Tucker would have his moments but Ken would be too busy and strong for him.

    Norton by comfortable UD.

Norton controls this whole fight and stops Tucker at some point.
Tucker is overrated while Ken gets underrated alot.

Tyson couldn't stop Tucker and Lewis didn't stop him almost 6 years later, so how would Norton stop him? Norton wasn't known as a power puncher on the level of Tyson or Lewis.

Norton fights you a different way. He goes to the body much more that Tyson or Lewis
He'll break his body down and eventually an overhand rt will stagger Tucker them he'll start banging him with hooks and Rts to stop him. Were talking a 15 rd fight and Ken was a 15 rd fighter.
Ken is a very good puncher and I dont play the game that just because fightet A couldnt stop him doesnt mean fighter B cant either. We have seen that proven wrong a more times than i can count.

    Norton would win.

I agree Norton gets underrated a lot of the time.

Tucker was pretty good in 1987 though. He'd make it a good fight.

I go with Norton by decision. I was disappointed with Tucker. Looking at his size, build and amateur pedigree I expected a lot more from him. He was certainly tough enough, he just didn't have "it".

Norton on the other hand made the most out of what he had. He came back from a KO loss early in his career nicely, made the most of fights with Ali, whose style, oddly, suited Norton. Norton got Quarry at the right time, a diminished, out of shape version. Had the misfortune of fighting Foreman at his peak. Got screwed out of the Spinks fight, and had to defend against a future Hall of Famer in Holmes in his first defense. Norton also got screwed in the 3rd Ali fight, though it may have saved him from a Foreman rematch. He could have Foreman a 100 times and it would have never ended well for Kenny.

That's true about Norton, against the boxers he always stood a chance but put him in there with a puncher and chances are it's not good for him.

Norton had too much experience for the talented, but inexperienced Tucker. He wins a 10-5, 9-6 decision.
