Pretty sure i put Spinks comments down on it. Also sparred Witherspoon and Cobb around the same time.

He said Page went hard and gave him a torrid time. He said Page hits harder than Witherspoon. I honestly can't remember the rest and slipped the mag back into one of piles not many weeks ago. If i come across it again in the near future i'll post extra.

I wish Spinks fought more of the top 80s HW crew

I think a few would have beat him. He would have been balls to the wall every fight with the top contenders imo. No room for cruising or making mistakes.

If Page had stayed with Butch Lewis, I wonder how that would have affected Michael's heavyweight plans?

Hard to say who wins .I think it could turn into a chess match that boxing nerds like me would enjoy but not the casual fans .I think Spinks nicks it but who knows.

I think hindsight is a wonderful thing and the cooney win is a better legacy/ "show" win. Cooney despite being an Alcoholic after 1982,inactive and having no real team or desire could really fight.he just happened to put in a pathetic, lazy performance with spinks. The focused foreman fight cooney does far better imo.

I think spinks exaggerates his knee problems as a cover for his tyson annihilation

I also think spinks edges it with similar tactics to the holmes fights...a mix of dance, jive and hard rights ...i also think tucker would get frustrated like he did for much of the douglas fight
