Eh. It was less rigged than Joshua’s. AJ is the proof that receiving a questionable olympic medal is no reason to wright someone off in the pros. Yoka should’ve been involved in at least a title eliminator by now, and has only himself to blame for his lack of progress.
I remember someone on here predicting the fix was in for Yoka to win gold before it happened. I can't remember what round it was but is was definitely at least before the semi-finals when they said that The final should've been Joyce vs Hrgovic Semi-final This content is protected Final This content is protected
Thats true life is about taking advantages of the opportunities and fortune that you get. But just because Joshua’s opponents didn’t go on to do damage at the highest professional level doesn’t mean they should have lost those fights. Roberto Cammarelle when he lost that final was 31/32 years old and was never going to be a successful pro, he wasn’t suited to the pro game also I think he was very injury prone and that was he was likely at the peak of his ability at that point. I like Joshua, but I don’t think he should have won that Olympic Gold Medal.
Somewhat. My research tells me there was some shady business going on in Rio for Yoka more than just actual fights of his. Joshua lost to Savon yes. The amateurs are rigged big time.
Very interesting point. Add to that, the Olympics were a year late because of Covid, which makes Yoka's record look even worse. Has he had injuries, promoter problems or something?
lol, banned for ped? is it not enough? I dont like yoka's boxing, tbh. I know he's very appreciated by a lot of aficionados, but I honestly dont like his boxing at all. I think he's overrated, I personally dont expect much from him.
I ought to ban you for attempting to bypass the word filter on a word like balls... which isn't even blocked. But hey... the intent was there you dirty SOB. But I'll give you a pass. In case you were wondering... nuts isn't filtered either.
Another way to look at it: Since the inception of Super Heavy Weight division at the Olympics. It has followed an 8 year gap not a 4 year gap of who has ultimately been considered successful. 84 - Biggs 88 - Lewis 92 - Balado 96 - Klitschko 00 - Harrison 04 - Povetkin 08 - Cammarrelle 12 - Joshua 16 - Yoka 20* - Jalolov
