You find Maywether fun to watch! That's your prerogative... Try to count how many find him boring on yahoo forums( they are in the thousands ).

Check your sarcasm at the door because the man is right. If I want to watch someone run then I will check out Track and Field. Floyd is a joke to the sport. Guys like Pac, SSM, Hopkins, Marquez are what boxing truly needs. They fight the best and continue to challenge themselves.

Boxing has made great strides thus far this year and the last thing it needs is Mayweather taking another huge payday to run around for 12 rounds. Casual fans will buy his fight only to get turned off of boxing never to watch again because Floyd runs (his legs and mouth) and doesn't fight.

The only good thing he ever did for boxing was to expose Ricky "Hype-Job" Hatton.

Floyd is good to watch from the perspective of a boxing fan who appreciates talent, skill and ability. From an entertainment point of view, Floyd isn't fun or attractive to watch. People were streaming out of arena ten rounds into the Baldomir fight. On his own, FMJ is not a name that is going to sell a lot of tickets or generate a lot of interest outside of the hardcore.

In terms of Hall of FAME credentials, fighters like Oscar and Tito are a LOT more respectable choices. Although, I repeat, the HoF is totally irrelevant and unworthy of the amount of topics it recieves here on ESB.

So, you don't think that Floyd's ppv numbers this July will outsell what Pac Man and Marquez's did? Oscar and Tito imo aren't ahead of Floyd in anything ecept losses...just because people don't like FMJ's personality, they deride his competition, adn his skills.

This is, unfortunately, true. The HoF talent pool is already so hopelessly diluted that the argument if "so-and-so is in..." can be applied to most anyone that beats a name opponent.

"Fire Joe Morgan" used to ridicule sportswriters that fell back on the "it's not the Hall of Very Good" cliche, but the truth is that the IBHOF has made itself exactly that. And that's not even getting into the morass that is the non-participants...

Given that this topic is about the Hall of FAME and Oscar and Tito are a lot more FAMOUS than Floyd then I think that fact alone should answer any question you have.

You don't think that Floyd is just as, if not more popular than Tito? Sure, Tito had Puerto Rico...but then what? You can't act like De la Hoyas fight with Floyd sold solely based on oscar...Tito's did nowhere near that. People really downplay Floyd's popularity. And as silly as he looked, Dancing with the Stars and WWE can vouch for that...talk about cross over appeal. What have you seen Tito on to make you think he's so much more popular?

The only time Floyd was fun to watch was after Zab hit him in the balls and he was doing the chicken dance. Now that was fun, well maybe just funny.
