He was smiling after the first knockdown and when the referee stopped the fight. I've never seen any fighter do that before. Then there was the whole congratulating Ruiz after the fight which was too good natured. Even a classy guy like Wlad wouldn't behave in this manner.

I dont know if something fishy is going on.

Nothing is new, Joshua's whole persona is fake and always was since he turned pro.

Too many of these posts, nothing fishy has gone on - he got caught with a shot which rattled him and he couldn’t recover, that’s all there is to it.

    The grinning comes from embarrassment

its a nervous smile, usually accompanied by a small twitching in the cheek area. its when the unthinkable is happening and youre having trouble dealing with all of it.

Yes but I've never seen a champion behave like he did yesterday. The loss didnt seem to hurt him at all.

LOL some people can't believe AJ lost plain and simple.

    You people need counselling.

Of course it did. He's had an enormous amount of media training - at this stage, he's basically programmed to behave in a certain way.

He was hurting inside definitely but AJ is a model professional and who was there to be blame or what was there to be annoyed about? His dad was there who was showing emotion and pointlessly having a go at Eddie, and that’s it was - emotion. It’s nobody fault, he just lost to the better man on the night and that’s boxing.

Yea, the fix was in, they planned to get dropped 4 times, if that wasn't enough, No MAS and give up all the belts!
