How about Kirklaing Laing's win over Roberto Duran? Duran was obviously past his best and fighting at a higher weight but he still went on to win another world title after this I think. Good win for Laing but an enormous waste of talent.

Great win, Duran wasn't that past it, he was just unmotivated.

Yeah - it is hard for a genuine cruiser to beat a welterweight full of burgers, who had fought twice (?) in 11 years.

Lloyd Honeyghan wKO3 Gianfranco Rosi in Italy

This fight is never mentioned even though Rosi went on to have wins over the likes of Chris Pyatt, Lupe Aquino, Darrin Van Horne, Duane Thomas and current IBF light middleweight champ Verno Phillips.

He also held versions of the light middleweight title himself on about 3 occasions.

Definately agree with Stracey V Napoles (even though Jose was past his best it was still a fantastic performance against the odds by Stracey)

**Continuing the theme Buchanan v Laguna 1. Ken beat Laguna in 120 degree heat in what was in effect Lagunas own back yard....great performance, underlined by Kens victory in the rematch at MSG a year later (another classic).

** GazOc beat me to it
