Thanks for the reply. Well I'm a big Mayweather fan so I enjoyed the fight alot. My list is a personal list not really a list based on the consensus.

I also take into consideration the outside circumstances in the leadup to and after the fight. These all add up to make a better fight. For example, The Thrilla In Manilla, Ali's taunting of Frazier and Frazier being the underdog with little chance makes the fight better in my eyes. Frazier coming in with something to prove. These circumstances are usually needed in my eyes to make a good fight, into a great memorable fight.

The 3rd Barrera-Morales fight I enjoyed the most due to the way the fight unfolded. It was more dramatic I thought. Barrera outboxing Morales for many of the rounds, then Morales realising he is behind goes for it all in the later rounds. Also Barrera being written off before the fight after the loss to Pacquaio.

Nobody has mentioned the Pryor-Arguello I fight which was as all action as you can possibly get. This is the 'top 10 action fights' ever seen. It's pretty simple, all action. Lots of punches and serious excitement from both combatants. How Gatti-Ward I can be mentioned is beyond me. That fight was boring for the first 5 rounds and wasn't anywhere near all action until around the 6th round. And I shall not respect anyones opinion if they try to tell me it was a great fight from start to finish, thats how strongly I feel about that. The 9th round was memorable and other rounds were also great, but to include it ahead of Pryor v Arguello I isn't right. This isn't a favourite fights list.

    Good call.
I forgot about that one, that might make my list or be no1 choice for an honourable mention.... I might be in the minority here but I thought fight 2 was just as good as fight 1, not a lot between them but its rarely mentioned on the same level, the effort Arguello put in while not at his best in the 2nd Pryor fight after being decked in rd 1 was awesome, a true warrior fighting to the death with eroding skills & reflexes, it reminded me a bit of EM/Pac II with EM obviously playing the sad part of Arguello & Manny as Pryor.

    :thumbsup
