Skill wise maybe, but Geale unified the titles to be fair to him.

Good list and description against each boxer.

But....one thing. I need to take you up on your comment that a win over Canelo “eluded” GGG.

GGG beat Canelo twice. The first win was without any doubt at all. It merited an official investigation and the result being changed to a GGG win.

The second win had some doubt to it, but on my scorecard was as wide as the first fight. A lot of those giving Canelo the second fight based it on being happy to see him to take the centre of the ring, and giving
him every round that was remotely close...”winning the story of the fight” was a narrative pushed hard by the fan boy commentator.

The vast majority of experts and fans have GGG the win in both fights.

Canelo’s legacy is harmed BADLY by corrupt judging as a general point.
Those 2 losses to GGG, are not his only losses according to some. Although I will not comment on those particular fights as I didn’t score them round by round.

We would be having the same conversation as this if we were taking about Sven Otke and where he places in his era.

Dirty corrupt robberies are important especially when it centres around certain fighters.

The result hasn’t been changed. I thought GGG won the first fight but it was officially a draw.

If I remember correctly, Otke’s winning decisions were much worse than any of Canelo’s.

I think it’s fair to say GGG should have gotten the first decision but the second one was by no means a robbery it was a close fight

If i remember correctly, between the 2 fights combined, maybe 4 ringside reporters gave it to Canelo out of roughly 100. Over the years it became politically correct to say Canelo might have deserved the 2nd fight. They were both very competitive, and Canelo was impressive in the 2nd fight in particular, but at middleweight , GGG was the victor between the two.

The scorecard of 118-110 Canelo in the first fight is the worst I’ve ever seen. You could give him 4 rounds at a push. 10 is blatant corruption.

I had GGG winning the first one 117-111. You could just about make a case for the second one being a draw by giving Canelo all of the close rounds but I still had GGG a fairly clear winner.

Very solid list. Don't disagree with any of them, perhaps where you've ranked them could be argued but it goes down to opinion. I'd personally put Billy Joe Saunders in the main list but can understand why people wouldn't.

There's a shout Jermall Charlo could have made the notable mentions if he wasn't so damn inactive.
