For me, this was personally my biggest disappointment. Dude was nice in the Olympics...I thought he was on his way too the top. I wish he would have been handled better.
Well, lets see oh yes: Audley Harrison: This guy was supposed to be the second coming of Lennox Lewis, he has the physical attributes and the skills. He has went from being the second coming to be the bum beater on PrizeFighter.
come on with Audrey!!! What was his age when he cames pro???? he won gold when he was 29 to many i think
You sure you are talking about Miguel Cotto? Cotto has a lot of strengths in the ring: fundamentally sound defense is not one of them. The guy gets tagged on a regular basis. I do agree that it would have been an exciting fight. I still think Floyd boxes his ears off though.
Zab Judah would be my pick. Hell of a talent, just fell short virtually every time he was tested except the second Spinks fight. He had the talent to fight Mayweather on virtually even terms for the first half of their fight, and ended it throwing low blows and rabbit punches and losing because he doesn't have it together mentally.
I didnt realize so many fans didnt know the story with David Reid. He wasnt mismatched with Trinidad. They took the fight because his managers knew he wasnt going to be able to fight much longer In 1995 Reid suffered a detached retina in the finals of the Pan American Games. He left eye was permanently damaged, and the original diagnosis was that he would be blind in his left eye within a years time He had multiple surgeries to retain his sight, and after his gold medal victory he was moved along so quickly in order for him to make as much money as possible before he would no longer be able to fight You can read his story here. http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/columns/story?columnist=graham_tim&id=1750780
Comes to mind: Zab Judah Kermit Cintron Jermain Taylor Antonio Margarito Arturo Gatti (sad ending and defeat against gomez) Jones Jr (for going from one of the most respected fighter of all time to a complete joke) Sergei Liakovich Here in Quebec: Ngoudjo Alcine Leonard Dorin.
