You have a different view on several point and I am not in the mood now to get into lengthy discussions.

What I can say is that you are dead wrong about the Byrd fight. James always wanted that fight, even called him on live TV a few times (after the Jirov and Oquendo fights). It was Byrd who was some reason hesitant to take the fight.

Hunter is a guy with little ability , so this has no bearing. Again Bellew mirrored the most closely Toney's style and he was up on points it seems to me .Now you can agree or disagree with the cards.

Toney did have an excellent track record against southpaws (Nunn, Johnson, Jirov). Yes he had trouble with them but he did beat them. He would have trouble with Usyk as well but he could beat him.

Do not forget James is a highly skilled fighter when motivated, From what I can see so far, he ie a better heavweight than Usyk. And James started out at 160.

You are basing your high ranking of usyk on the fact he unified the division. Head to head, I definitely think Holyfield and Quawi take him. Toney would be a slight favourite in my opinion. Jirov, I really do know but he would give Usyk ttrouble. The rest, I think Usyk would beat.

Mormeck would surely enter my top 20, Oneill Bell no, he was fun to watch but he was very inconsistent. Imo he lost against Brown and was losing against Rothman before the ko

Wrong. Mchunu most closely resembled Toney, and Usyk beat him with no trouble.

I don't think anybody could argue that. That's like trying to argue there's a better welterweight than Ray Robinson. It will take a long while before somebody does Holyfield at cruiser/heavy.. if ever.

Good list. I’d have Toney in it personally though. Maybe Qawi and Toney #3 & 4? Jirov might make my personal list. A lot of durable guys at cruisers top end it seems.

Sort of off topic,,,but do you think anyone on this list could have beaten a 190 pound Mike Spinks? I'd say only Holyfield would have a decent chance

This has got me thinking how would Micheal Moorer have done at Cruiser? He was a boiled down heavy at LHW and outgrew the division so quickly, but he seemed a tad undersized amongst the behemoths when he got to his natural division perhaps he would have been the best cruiser ever perhaps not, it keeps me mentally occupied in my travels at times.
