When I asked about Gomez-love, I didn't mean that. :blood Greb! Greb! I like it. It's the modern heavyweight division for moderately big guys that don't actually want diabetes.
The **** is Ancalet Wamba doing so high on some of these lists? :nono :scaredas: Dude's a cruiserweight Calzaghe. Also, Juan Carlos Gomez absolutely deserves to be in a cruiser top ten. He was very, very good.
Well, yes and no. I like it and it´s underrated but there were only few great fighters in there. Well, only one really. Holyfield. :good
1 Evander Holyfield 2 Carlos DeLeon 3 Dwight Muhammed Qawi 4 Johnny Nelson 5 David Haye 6 Juan Carlos Gomez 7 Anaclet Wamba 8 Guillermo Jones 9 O'Neil Bell 10 Vassiliy Jirov
Orlin Norris should be on these list. HTH i cant think of too many cruisers that could have beat him(when at his best). Only ones id favor to beat him are Holyfield,Haye and maybe Toney and Qawi. Dont ask me how the hell he lost to Nate MIller he must have been out of shape or not prepared.
Others that I would consider are Mormeck, Cole, Norris, Czyz, Ocasio, Toney Fighters that were/are almost their... Washington, Cunningham, Jones Now, if you wanna count any fighter who could have made weight... the list would look much different. I'd still have Holyfield #1, maybe Joe Louis at #2? Sure, Louis could even be #1 without much of an argument.
Yeah, I was going to say, if you included all the fighters between 175 and 205, the list would have to include guys like Dempsey, Marciano, Quarry, Charles, Burns, Louis, Frazier, etc. Holyfield would probably make the top ten then. ..
Probably huh? Please don't put Quarry in the same class as guys like Holyfield, Louis, Charles, Marciano, Frazier, Dempsey, and some others.
Byrd and Moorer could have been great at CW. Virgil Hill should have moved up to CW after his fight with Michalczewski.
