I wish Marvin Camel deserved to be on this list for talent or accomplishments. He had top 10 heart and grit.
I feel like crusierweight has developed over the years. People used to talk about it being scraped occasionally.
Great thread. Hope no one minds me bumping it. Since everyone ranked them, I did a tally with values assigned inverted- a number one spot is worth ten points, a number ten spot is worth one point--and then added them up... Oleksander Usyk 9, 9, 10, 10, 10, 10= 58 Evander Holyfield- 10, 10, 9, 9, 9= 47 Mairis Briedis 5, 9, 7, 8, 8= 37 David Haye 6, 3, 6, 8, 2, 6= 31 Carlos de Leon 8, 8, 7- 23 O'Neil Bell 3, 6, 3, 5= 17 Marco Huck 2, 7, 3, 4= 16 Dwight Muhammad Qawi 7, 5, 3= 15 James Toney 6, 7= 13 Steve Cunningham 8, 1, 2= 11 Jean-Marc Mormeck 4, 1, 6= 11 Tomasz Adamek 1, 5, 3= 9 Guillermo Jones 4, 5= 9 Alfred Cole 7= 7 Vasili Jirov 2, 5= 7 Firat Arslan 4= 4 Jai Opetaia 4= 4 Juan Carlos Gomez 4= 4 Denis Lebedev 1, 2, 1= 4 Johnny Nelson 2= 2 Kristof Glowacki 1= 1 I like Briedis but I am a little surprised at him finishing so high...I guess mostly off of giving Usyk arguably his toughest fight. Also not sure what to make of Bell being so high. I guess for going 1-1 with Mormeck? I would have Mormeck a little higher.
1. Oleksandr Usyk 2. Evander Holyfield 3. Mairis Briedis 4. Carlos De León 5. Dwight Muhammad Qawi 6. David Haye 7. O’Neil Bell 8. James Toney 9. Jean-Marc Mormeck 10. Steve Cunningham
Wasn't my thread, but I am colonizing it! Oleksander Usyk 9, 9, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10= 68 Evander Holyfield- 10, 10, 9, 9, 9, 9= 56 Mairis Briedis 5, 9, 7, 8, 8, 8= 45 David Haye 6, 3, 6, 8, 2, 6, 5= 36 Carlos de Leon 8, 8, 7, 7- 30 O'Neil Bell 3, 6, 3, 5, 4= 21 Dwight Muhammad Qawi 7, 5, 3, 6= 21 Marco Huck 2, 7, 3, 4= 16 James Toney 6, 7, 3= 16 Jean-Marc Mormeck 4, 1, 6, 2= 13 Steve Cunningham 8, 1, 2, 1= 12 Tomasz Adamek 1, 5, 3= 9 Guillermo Jones 4, 5= 9 Alfred Cole 7= 7 Vasili Jirov 2, 5= 7 Firat Arslan 4= 4 Jai Opetaia 4= 4 Juan Carlos Gomez 4= 4 Denis Lebedev 1, 2, 1= 4 Johnny Nelson 2= 2 Kristof Glowacki 1= 1
I mean, you don't have to convince me, because I am a big Norris guy. I really took notice of him around the Page fight. I think the way people are rating this is what that all did AT CRUISERWEIGHT, with is why Norris' wins against Page, Tucker and the rest at heavy probably don't matter. POST SCRIPT: Oliver McCall, Jesse Ferguson and Renaldo Snipes good shouts for guys Norris beat. POST POST SCRIPT: Now that you mention it, Nate Miller probably deserves a tip of the hat. 1-1 against Norris, victory over Qawi and Bert Cooper at cruiser. That ain't too shabby.
It's pretty close between Mormeck and Bellb ut I would agree that Mormeck should be higher than him mostly because of Mormeck beating Hill, Gurov and Braitwraite back to back before losing to Bell. Braitwraite was undefeated when Mormeck beat him and he was seen as the future of the division and the Don King CW getting the biggest push at the time. It's weird that both Bell and Mormeck are higher than Juan Carlos Gomez and Vassily Jirov. I thought both Jirov and Gomez would have been much higher. I have no problem with Breidis being 3rd. He was that good.

YES, but we also have to adjust for when de & rehydrating was permitted! So the real in ring weight is accounted for
