1- Mairis Briedis 2- Krzysztof Glowacki 3- Yuniel Dorticos 4- Arsen Goulamirian 5- Ilunga Makabu 6- Michael Cieslak 7- Ryad Merhy 8- Thabiso Mchunu 9- Lawrence Okolie 10- Aleksei Egorov Thoughts? How would your top 10 be?
Briedis Dorticos Glowacki Egorov Makabu Goulamirian Mchunu Gevor Okolie Cieslak While It's still my favourite division, gotta admit It's not what It was 3 years ago. Here's to hope Egorov and Tischenko will bring back the excitement.
I can't see it any other way than these being the top 5 Briedis definitely #1 Dorticos and Glowacki at #2 and #3. Either way round is fine. If you're of the opinion that Briedis' win over Glowacki is legit then Dorticos is #2 IMO Makabu and Goulamirian at #4 and #5 but I'd favour the later to beat the former albeit it would be sure to be a real cracker for as long as it lasted The Ring Magazine's rankings from last month This content is protected This month 5-10 still not right at all IMO This content is protected
I can't see Lerena being top 8-9. Maybe 10th. Id put my money on Egerov and Tischenko to beat him today. Briedis should be 1, Dorticos 2, and Glowacki 3.
This is not based on potential as much as it is resumé. Lerena has beaten Golovaschenko, Kalenga, Arslan, Kucher, Nielsen and other various top 30-50 guys. He's not great but he's certainly got more going for him than most in the division as of right now.
I've always been irked by the silly placement of Tabiti in these rankings. 6th is a total farce. He's not even top 10 by my estimation, had to get a gift against Fayfer. By the way, worst matchup ever style wise. Both are awkward spoilers who don't punch all that hard so they make for long boring fights against higher level opponents usually. So. Much. Holding. Tabiti in particular annoys me because he has the ability to be a lot more exciting but he decides to be as negative as possible in most cases.
