Bashing of who? Ward, Froch? I guess you mean Ward with recent threads. If so... I like him alot, he is one of my favourite active boxers, but the fictional stuff has gone a bit crazy when it comes to Ward. Ward shows great talent and may go on to be an absolute legend, but he has a long way to go first. He is not even close to Calzaghe yet, nowhere close, yet butt hurt fan boys get carried away. I recall conversations years back when after Calzaghe had beaten Eubank, Reid and Woodhall who were all very good SMWs years ago, and then you get people say he was right up there resume wise with Eubank, which he wasnt then. He did go on to surpass, but it wasnt for quite a while after. Now you get people who are new to the SMW division say Ward has the best resume in the division ever when it doesnt compare with Eubanks, Ottkes, Kesslers (even though he beat Kessler, probably not Collins or Benn and possibly arguable to overall resumes to fighters like Park, and Beyer. Mitchell and Malinga even have a small dispute for their wins like Mitchells over Liles and Siaca and Malingas for wins over Benn and Reid. Steiglitz has even done what Ward hasnt done in beaten an undefeated SMW champ. Then you get these fanboys compare Wards resume to the best SMW resume ever. Doesnt mean I dont like Ward or am not a fan and I expect I will be defending Ward a few years down the line when he is forgotten and a new champ has arrived, but until then like to keep it all in perspective
