I personally think Tito did a little more than Barrera.....

    Won his first 40 fights
17 defenses of his Welterweight title
    unbeaten at Welterweight
Defeated 2 unbeaten Junior Middleweigh champions to unify
    Won a Middleweight belt....

Only loss to bigger skilled men, who you could say shouldn't have been in the ring with..........That's why I've totallly jumped on the Pacquaio train, that fool is relentless.

Man we are talking about the cream of the crop here....No REAL wrong answers.:good

Having Calzaghe above DLH is a wrong answer, IMO.

I'd like to hear your argument for having Mayweather above Roy Jones as well.

You make good points, personally that is my list, I doubt it is perfect, but whenever there are lists such as these people are going to have different people on them and/or in different places. To be honest, once I got past the top 5 I found it hard to put people into order.

As for some of your comments, in regards to Calzaghe, I think he was a unique fighter. I think his way of fighting off balance, combined with his punch output and stamina confused everyone he fought. He was the type of fighter that everyone fought they could beat but once they got in the ring with him they could just not figure him out. I think it was telling when Kessler said, when you get punched x (i can't remember the number) amount of times it kind of become confusing. While Jones just said I could not figure him out. However, the problem with Calzaghe, is that he did not really believe in himself, hence he did not chase the fights that he should have done.

I will admit I am harsh on Lewis, I just did not like him, and I still to this day don't know why. lol.

Lopez, I put him where he is, because he was an exciting fighter and I don't think the little guys get enough credit.

Shane and Tito should be the other way round.

As for B-hop, I love the guy, his boxing mind is one of a kind, and I think he will make an excellent trainer. However, as you said he fought a lot of small guys, although you do make good points about past greats. However, that being said I still do not place him above PBF, Pac and Jones.

Mayweather - In my opinion the most naturally gifted fighter of this generation. I love watching him box everytime. And I don't really consider myself much of a Mayweather fan.

Most on ESB are, Calzaghe isnt that well liked, Lewis is, Calzaghe fought mostly in Britain, Lewis came to America sooner... but at the end of the day, Calzaghe (even tho I dont agree with him staying in the UK the length of time he did, bit of a waste & annoying actually) is simply a better fighter than Lewis, 21 defences is no joke, WBO or not & the thing all Calzaghe haters hate to hear but pretend they dont care.... 46-0... that aint an accident either.

Anyway, its pointless discussing Calzaghe with 90% of posters on here, if you rate him, fine, if you dont, no worries, Im fed up going around in circles TBH.

FFS, this isn't playschool Bill! Calzaghe isn't "well-liked", what does that have to do with it when it is you, I and Addie discussing him? Like Addie, I can provide reasons, explanations and examples for why I don't think Calzaghe is a top 10 fighter of the past 15 years, we never just say "I hate him, he's a dick". Do you seriously think Calzaghe is such a lock for this top 10 that anyone who disagrees is doing so on the basis of personal dislike??

There is absolutely no way I would argue over whether Oscar deserves to be above Barrera and Morales, that's not something I have a strong opinion on at all. To be honest, if I sat and rationalized it I think I would have both men over Oscar. But my issue wasn't with your rating, it's the comment about how Oscar lost his big fights, which is a rather silly myth pedalled by those who haven't seen the fights in question - and I'm sure you have, so should know better.

We can whine on about technicalities like the opinions of three incompetent suits at ringside all we want, but the fact is that a fan of boxing who has a brain knows fine well that Oscar beat Trinidad and Mosley in the second fight. Or if you have a problem with saying 'beat' because of the technicality, you can say he outboxed/outfought them. The point is, he was the better man on the night and deserves the credit from fans who saw the fight even if the suits denied him it.

Eveyone has a fighter that they cant be reasonable on because of personal feelings, yours is Calzaghe... that is an absolute 100% fact, you know it & I know it, almost everybody knows it.
We`ll agree to disagree on Calzaghe because you will never convince me he wasnt a better fighter than Lennox Lewis, Ive watched both for yrs & thats that, my mind wont change.

You're being a childish moron. Because I do not believe Calzaghe belongs in a top 10 of this era, I hate him. That's lamentably schoolboy stuff to be honest.

His resume, achievements and abilities were good enough to rank him in a top 15, but not a top 10.

How on Earth can that be called hate or irrationality or dislike?? I have explained why I think so numerous times, with no personal animosity for the guy whatsoever.

It is a purely boxing decision. I have no idea why you think Calzaghe is such a lock that ruling him out = hatred. I could see why that would be a reasonable assumption if someone was saying Jones or Mayweather shouldn't be in there, but whether I am a known critic of him or not, Calzaghe simply is not on their level, no way!!
