Yeah, forgot about Britt and Yaqui! Thanks for the reminder. Yaqui could just never get over that hump.
Aaron Wade was a murderers' row middleweight. Beat Archie Moore and host of other top MWs. Dave Shade has an outstanding resume. He scored a sensational KO of highly touted Jimmy Slattery on the Greb-Walker undercard. Check out The Ring rankings for the 1920s and you'll see that he beat almost every single ranking middleweight of his era as well as several welters and LHs. He beat Mickey Walker and lost a close (some say controversial) decision to him as well. He floored Jack Britton and had two razor close draws with him, one of which a judge had him winning. Some of the top men he beat- Ace Hudkins, Jock Malone, Rene DeVos, Augie Ratner, Allentown Joe Gans, Ben Jeby, Al Gainer, Osk Till, George Courtney, Cowboy Willis, Frank Moody, Roland Todd, Frankie Schoell, etc etc etc....
