Top 10 Greatest Heavyweight Fights?

Never thought of watching it. Is it really that good? Well, good as it gets at HW.

 

Walcott came into the fight with a walker it's true, not a lot of folks know that.

 

I can’t really add anything new, but I’ll just add some stuff regarding lesser mentioned fights.

Sergei Liakhovich-Lamon Brewster is my choice for the best HW fight of the 21st century. Lewis-Vitali was a bigger fight in being for the recognized title, Joshua-Wlad also a bigger fight, but Liakhovich-Brewster had the most consistent sustained action. Lamon made for some fun fights with his heart and lack of defense.

Derrick Jefferson-Maurice Harris was a good brawl with an unforgettable ending.

Tommy Morrison had some good fights with Joe Hipp & Carl Williams. The Hipp fight was when he prevailed with a broken jaw and broken hand.

Lennox Lewis-Ray Mercer was a very good and closely contested fight.

Mike Tyson-Razor Ruddock 2 was a brutal fight. Ruddock suffered a broken jaw, swollen eye, and I believe a broken rib. I love the sequence started by a left hook to the body in round 10.

Riddick Bowe was in classic fights with Evander Holyfield and also the rematch with Andrew Golota. I also recommend watching his fight with Pierre Coetzer, a few months before Bowe’s first fight with Evander. It was a good brawl, and features one of my favorite Foremanisms.

I vividly remember watching Bowe-Golota 2 and having an eerie feeling that Bowe would die in the ring. He took a bad beating that fight.
