I'm glad you've put Henry Cooper's left hook in there against Ali.
Over the years most of the emphasis has been on the controversy regarding the split glove, the myth of the extra time Ali got between the rounds the smelling salts etc.
What seems to have been forgotten is the quality of Henry's hook I think a lot of heavyweights wouldn't have got up from that.
Henry might have fell short against the real top guys but he threw a mighty fine left hook!

Your right. It was a perfect hook. It was short, accurate and right on the button. He timed the punch perfectly. Only a fighter with great recovery ability like Ali would have gotten through that moment.

Some of my favorites, R.Robinson vs Fullmer, 1st time Fullmer was stopped. J.Frazier V Ali 1, probably the most dramatic l hook landed in history, esp when considering the stakes. Leonard's hook on "boy"Green, (I thought he actually killed him)B.Foster vs D.Tiger and M.Qaurry. (see the Leonard comment) Tyson's hook on Berbick, (Hook may have traveled 10"s) M.Maccullum v D.Curry (Brutal) Leonard's hook to the body in Hearns 1st fight (didn't stop Hearns but set up the stoppage, completely changed the fight) the Pettway hook on S.Brown (Brown was out so cold, he was still trying to fight on his back on canvas) J.Jackson stoppage of Drayton.
