***According to resume, obviously we all know Roy Jones would blast them all out :yep.

    1. Chris Eubank
    2. Joe Calzaghe
    3. Steve Collins
    4. Roy Jones
    5. Sven Ottke
    6. James Toney
    7. Nigel Benn
    8. Carl Froch
    9. Mikkel Kessler
    10. Thulani Malinga

there was nobody else really deserving for the tenth spot so i threw in Thulani Malinga. Has a win over Robin Reid and Nigel Benn. Plus i also thought he won the first Nigel Benn fight. Even the Eubank fight was close but i can't remember my scorecard.

    Post your top 10.

Nigel Benn would've ****ed Ottke up. And has a better resume than most if not all of them. Draw with Eubank, beat Barkley, McLellan, Dewitt.

Edit - Couple of them were at MW, sorry.

Although premature I'd have Ward above Froch/KEssler. Hearns should perhaps be there. I hate doing SMW ratings because I want to include the likes of Charles/Greb/Marshall and don't know if I should with the division being 20years old.....

Otke has the undefeated record and longevity, although we know some were gift decisions. Benn has the great McClellan win, arguably beat Eubank and some decent level fighters otherwise, Otke can't compare in terms of the quality of the first 2. Toney is way too low to. Collins was also an opportunist getting a shot Benn and past prime Eubank who I thought beat him once

trouble is it is a funny weight class. Most middles can make it if they want to and with the 24 hour weigh in a lightheavy with a can make it. finding out who is a "natural" super middle is like finding natural tits in hollywood.

Does Cordoba deserve a mention here? Beat Tiozzo, Nardiello and lost to Nunn in a split decision, in title fights.

i mean on the back of the top 10, not up in the top half

Malinga? Hell even Andre Ward deserves to get in over him. Wins over Miranda, Allan Green and Mikkel Kessler is pretty good.

The guy was jobbed left right and centre though. The British commentators thought he beat Benn in their first fight and he won the rematch. The Rochiagani loss was controversal, the Eubank fight was razor thin. And the other losses I'm not sure about but effectively he was the Glen Johnson of his day
