Watching Bows take such punishment in all those fights and listening to him speak now...well it's no surprise. And boxing fans gripe about some fights getting stopped "too early".:patsch

Great Video Rummy:good I watched the whole thing this time.

Good Top 8 out of 10. I've never seen Brewster-Liakhovich, so I can't comment, and I wasn't as fond of Golota-Byrd as you were. But otherwise its pretty similar to mine. Also I may not mention enough on here I love Bowe even though I always say Wlad would have beaten him, part of that is me trolling for Wlad. Same goes for Golota.

Here's my reworking of your list with a few of mine added in.

    1. Douglas Vs. Tyson
    2. Bowe Vs Golota 2
    3. Bowe Vs. Holyfield 3
    4. Lewis Vs Klitschko
    5. Tua Vs. Ibeabuchi
    6. Bowe Vs. Holyfield 1
    7. Bowe Vs. Golota 1
    8. Foreman Vs. Moorer
    9. Holyfield Vs. Toney (Both looked on the verge of keeling over for half the match IIRC, although that's Toney's natural look:lol:)
    10. Holyfield Vs. Tyson
    11. Tyson Vs. Ruddock 1 (Too much holding but inbetween they were throwing bombs)
    12. Wlad Vs. Peter (Boring at times but suspenseful)
    13. Wlad Vs. Pulev ( His most entertaining match in years)
    14. Bowe Vs. Holyfield 2 (the parachutist one of the most surreal things I've ever seen)
    15. Lewis Vs. Rahman (Wasn't a huge Lewis fan so I really liked seeing him KO'd by Rahman, the match wasn't that great though)

    A few other mentions.
Huck Vs Povetkin (Very entertaining damn close match, I think Huck was robbed)
Toney Vs. Peter 1 (Toney was robbed, another match where they both looked on the verge of collapse)
Haye Vs. Chisora ( Haye is such a waste of a talent, one of the more talented HW's of the last 15 years, but he's wasted is)
Cunningham Vs Mansour (one of the better HW matches I've seen in the last few years.)
Joshua Vs. Whyte (Far too soon I know, but for HW action it was pretty damn good, gotta wait and see how it ages)
Wlad Vs. Mercer (One sided beatdown, but entertaining one sided beatdown)

Yeah it must of been processing. Watched it now though mate and very impressed.

Put together properly and with great ****ysis. For people watching whom might not have seen some of these fights the background info is great. Excellent work. :thumbsup

Sgt. Peppers segment is hilarious lol

There are still old articles floating around. From what I recall..

Byrd claimed King was ripping him off and wanted to low ball him for a Golota rematch.

McCline was a friend and IBF mandatory, so he agreed to step up for less money, and Golota got paired with Ruiz.

I believe Byrds last fight under King.

Yeah, I hear you. I used to be one more apt to complain about early stoppages, and sometimes I still am in certain situations. But for the most parts these days, I'd prefer that refs and corners were more apt to err on the side of caution in all but the most extraordinary instances.

I'm actually surprised that you (or anyone) agreed with 8 of my 10 choices. :good

A lot of this just comes down to personal preference. But I will say that Brewster-Liakhovich is absolutely worth a look. And as for Byrd-Golota, I really did enjoy that one.

My original "list" of contending fights included Wlad-Peter and Bowe-Holy 2. I was also considering Lewis-Mercer, Holyfield-Cooper, and a few others, including Morrison-Mercer, which I originally DID have on my top 10 at one point when I first drew up my list (I always loved that fight).

Haye-Chisora is a good shout, hadn't thought of that one.

    :thumbsup

The only major change I made after my initial list, was I removed Mercer-Morrison, and I dropped Tyson-Holy from #4 down to #9 after rewatching the entire fight - even I apparently looked back on that one with rose tinted glasses to some extent.

In recent years Cunningham/Mansour is my pick for favorite heavyweight fight.

    And Takam/Povetkin of course.

From a fan perspective I enjoy the individual performances of Wlad, and Povetkin a lot. But good performances, and impressive knockouts don't really belong in this thread. Great back and forth wars do.

Really was an incredible fight. I watched it on Rummy's advice and added it to favs right away. Povetkin-Takam and Haye-Chisora are the best of the last couple of years for me.

It's such a good fight dude... Also recommend Meehan/Brewster... Oh ****, did that one slip you by @Rummy or did you just not decide to add it?

I didn't care for that one at the time, and only watched it when it originally aired. Will give it another look soon. I remember Meehan looking really great that night, though, and that was the one fight that made me doubt Brewster would really prove to be the best at around the time he fought Liakhovich (when I truly did believe Brewster was the best in the division at that point going in).

That fight also all but convinced me that Golota, coming off the Byrd and Ruiz performances, could beat Brewster.
