    1. Filip Hrgovic- a popular choice and for good reason. He’s the right size and seems to be good, if not great in every single department. I was worried about his management situation, but now that he’s with Diaz I think he’ll become the outstanding fighter he’s meant to be.

    2. Arslanbek Makhmudov- He’s a giant who definitely knows his own strength. I still go back and watch his fight with Nistor every once in awhile. I don’t know if anyone can match him in terms of raw firepower- maybe Ajagba or Jalolov. He’s confident in his power and chin as well, which means he’s more than willing to exchange which never works out favorably for his opponents. No. 1 for most intimidating prospect.

    3. Bakhodir Jalolov- A gargantuan, lightning fast Southpaw with devastating power, Jalolov just needs time to develop and expand his arsenal a bit more. He’s very young, so there’s no need for him to rush. Might have the highest ceiling out of all of them.

    4. Efe Ajagba- amateur record I think is 40-2 with 30 knockouts. That’s a ridiculous percentage for an amateur. I don’t think much explaining needs to be done for why this guy’s so high up. Ronnie Shields is gonna make him into pretty something special, if he isn’t already. 88 inch reach. Wow.

    5. Martin Bakole- A bit of a weird choice, at least I’ll know if I’m wrong pretty soon. I just haven’t heard anything from anyone who’s actually been in the gym with Martin that say he’s anything less than a world class fighter, and he isn’t Joshua’s chief sparring partner for nothing. He crushed Akinlade in a round, who Gorman went 10 with, and he stepped on Jones like an ant in about 30 seconds, while Dubois had to get creative to get him out of there and it took 3 rounds to do so.

    6. Joe Joyce- I like him a lot, he can outwork and hurt pretty much everyone. As he steps up he’ll have to rely on his chin because his defense at this point will not cut it. It’s not terrible like some say, But there are some very powerful, fast, and accurate guys up there(or there will be soon).

    7. Ivan Dychko- He’s 6’9” and really really fast. He has absolutely no excuses to not at the very least crack the top 15. It seems like he’s learning to sit down a bit more too, he’s picked up some nice knockouts. Needs to step up a bit.

    8. Daniel Dubois- really impressive for his age. He has good punch selection, great balance, and enough lead in his hands to bother anyone. His chin and stamina are still totally untested, but he’s already shown a degree a patience and ring IQ that’s rare for a young prospect. He is quite slow though, won’t be able to blitz opponents like a Joshua or Wilder can.

    9. Tony Yoka- gets a little too much hate. He’s clearly got great skills, is very agile and quick, and still had a lot of energy left after going ten rounds. Power is underrrated also. Always at risk of getting his glass broken though, because it’s certainly there.

    10. Simon Kean- Criminally underrated. He’s big with an excellent jab and straight right hand, and has this weird leaping left hook kinda like Klitschko’s that has left several of his opponents wobbling around on some other planet. He was a solid amateur(with a win over Yoka) and he seems to improve with every fight. All that said he is slow and his chin is certainly suspect. He better not get ktfoed by Carman Saturday.

    Others

Vlad Sirenko- He’s got a nice left hook and some killer instinct, but I’m worried that his very straightforward style will fall flat(and cause him to literally do so) in this current age of giants.

Tyrone Spong- Great fighter with a ton of power. He’s a short counterpuncher, I just don’t see it working at the very top.

Rositslav Plechko- Don’t know what to make of him. Waiting till he steps up. Interested though.

Oleksandr Teslenko- He used to be really high up for me, but his size was always a small concern. After the Gibson fight I had to take him out of the top ten, maybe he was sick or something, but wow was he unimpressive.

    Sergey Kuzmin- Good. Nothing special.

    Ali Demirezen- Same as Kuzmin.

Evgeny Tischenko- too small to have such a featherfisted style. Very skilled though.

Trey Lippe Morrison- he’ll make a decent gatekeeper/fringe contender with his power, but he’s getting smashed when he’s stepped up past that.

Joe Goodall- fast and strong. Sloppy and defensively poor. We’ll have to wait and see how he goes.

Nathan Gorman- Fast, skillful, and powerful. Tiny and chubby. He could go far if he stepped up right now but time is short for him. Too many killers on their way in.

Werent you the guy who laughed at Sirenko leading the division( apparently im crazy) and somehow was a outlandish notion ? Yet you have at number one , a guy who is an arm puncher ,leaves his chin way up in the air and falls off balance when he misses lefts ?

The fight I saw him in he had to use elbows and his arm pit everytime some fat midget came in on him and lean on the back of his neck..he jumped back ten feet the guy took one step!

He didn't even get a real stoppage the guy looked tired just walking to the center ring at the opening bell.

Are you sure your lazy or is it being oblivious? lol

By beating Mansour, Hrgovic has officially graduated to contender, imo.

Considering that Rossi is 6'6'' and southpaw, he will be at least a different kind of opponent than 6'0'' orthodox African guys he fought before and since Jamal Woods. But Rossi's glass mandibles won't enable him to last long. He was knocked out cold by Huck and Papin, both of those KOs were scary.

Come on, Sirenko looks pretty sharp, but he’s currently the king of fighting fat midgets. Jalolov’s was undefeated and it was his very first fight. And if you think he’s an arm puncher you need your eyes examined, he’s got phenomenal technique.

Phenominal technique? The guy literally falls over when he missed power lefts and wide shots .You guys on here...lol

If you think hes not an arm puncher you've never thrown a power punch yourself bc he IS an arm puncher very much like Hrgovic is minus the balance.

That guy would get steam rolled by Vlad, you obviously didn't see your guys debut either bc his opponent would be definition of Midget ,one he couldn't stop impressively.

Here he is..go ahead tell me more about what I don't know ? lol

I'm not sold on Arslanbek Makhmudov yet. He has great size and excellent power, but he seems a bit slow both on his feet and with his punches. Also predictable. And the thing that bothers me is that he never was a top amateur even in Russia - he was behind Omarov, Kuzmin and even Russian Butterbeane Maxim Babanin. Some people will say that his style is just not suitable for amateurs, but that's not the case. Madjidov has a similar style and he is one of the most successful amateur superheavyweights of the last decade - he is three-time world amateur champion and Olympic bronze medalist.

He didn’t fall over once in his debut. I didn’t say he wasn’t a midget, but once again, besides Jamal Woods he’s likely a superior opponent to anyone Sirenko fought. He turned that guys legs into jelly with a series of very nice left hands, the first of one which was a pull counter he certainly pivoted his hips into. If he’s such an arm puncher he’s the most powerful I’ve ever seen, he left one of his amateur opponents cold. Jalolov has amateur resume that’s miles ahead of Sirenko’s, who while elite, accomplished nothing of real note. After he fights the tough Tyrell Wright(9-2-2), he will undisputedly have a better professional record as well, despite having a third as many fights. Also Hrgović does arm punch as means of scoring points and setting up heavier shots, most highly skilled, experienced fighters do.

Well we have WAY different standards on power bc hes not a power puncher.Hes fast.

You called Sirenko king of midgets ,I showed you an actual one who made Jalolov look awkward and missing mile long swings ( phenomenal technique? )

This is what you described him as...

"A gargantuan, lightning fast Southpaw with devastating power"

And your telling me to come on ? :crazylick:

Believe what you like,it doesn't matter I know who the best guy is ( hes not even on your list but Simon Kean who is a straight forward guy you detracted from Sirenko, who doesn't do anything better is ? ) and its FAR from the phenominal one in the vid I provided who would be hard pressed against anyone I listed!

I think you’re right, we have completely different standards of what constitutes good boxing. They are a plenty of valid criticisms for Jalolov at this raw stage in his career, but an arm puncher?. Regardless, you don’t know who the best man is and neither do I, hopefully we’ll find out in due time.

Sirenko will see a title shot , that guy wont bc hes an arm puncher ( the vid i provided SHOWS he is )with no power at HW, unlike Hrgovic who actually does have some pop and getting more weight on .

The one guy you didn't put on the list has the most chance to be at the top!

You also place over value on amateur fights yet have Joyce at 6 when he has a win over Jololov if that is a standard your using ?

    Really good post. Cheers.

If I could ask ... have you seen anything of Willis Meehan? And if so, how would assess his potential?
