Top 10 heavyweights last 30 years

    I don't know why people are ignoring Wilder and Joshua.

    Wilder has been a pro for eight of the 30 years covered. He is undefeated with 38 wins. He has won the WBC heavyweight title and made five successful defenses. And he won a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics. Joshua has been a pro for five of the 30 years. He is the IBF and WBA champ. He has three successful defenses. And he won a gold medal at the 2012 Olympics.

    How many successful defenses did Ruiz have? How many did Moorer have? Who did they dominate? How many times were they flattened? How many losses did they have?

    Would anyone pick Moorer or Ruiz to beat Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder? Seriously?

    The poll didn't say "retired" heavyweights. Just said who were the best. Hell, if we're picking THE BEST heavyweights, I wouldn't rank Ruiz or Moorer over Tua EVER. Those two could've fought Tua a 100 times, and I don't think they ever would've beaten him.

    Holyfield
    Vitali
    Byrd
    Bowe
    Tua
    Povetkin
    Ruiz

    Wlad- because 64-5 is outstanding including 18 consecutive title defenses and 11 year unbeaten streak against the division's best.

    Lewis- defeated great competition but was not viewed as best heavy until Holyfield fights and retired in 03.

    Tyson- dominant and shined so bright but so short. To me his career ended the day he went to prison. Was never the same fighter once released.

    Holyfield- fought everyone but struggled against super heavys losing trilogy to Bowe and not being able to get a win against Lewis.

    Vitali- dominant but competition was not the best. Lost to the two best fighters he faced - while ahead on the scorecards

    Byrd- crafty lefty with many good wins including Holyfield, Tua, vitali (injury), did a lot for having little size or power.

    Bowe- looked great but fought little top talent in loaded era. Golota ruined him along with his poor habits ending his relavent career at age 29.

    Tua- one dimensional but what a dimension- crushed Ruiz, Moorer, stopped Rahman and Oqendo (a spoiler who gave everyone problems) fought a razor close match with Ibeabuchi. Poor performance vs Lewis a stain.

    Povetkin- Olympic gold medalist still only 1 loss in career - defeated many good fighters but outside of his Wlad fight has been blocked out of the elite fights - by his own fault in some cases. Defeated Chagaev, Chambers, Takam, Huck, Byrd, Perez. Lasted distance with Prime Wlad in ugly boring fight.

    Ruiz- ugly mauler that overachieved. Has some quality wins and a hard to watch trilogy with Holyfield.

    I know most with knock the list for Wlad at top- but being that I have Louis, Ali, and Holmes as my top 3 heavies - I place premium on consistency and longevity. I feel I have to stay consistent. And it's more than title defenses it's about how long you are viewed as the best In your division. But I have no issue with anyone placing Lewis ahead of him. I do have issue with anyone placing him lower than 4.

    Can you splain how Foreman or Vitali can be ranked over Wlad?
