Fury got done for PEDS and coke. They were no longer Furys belts when he decided to put that **** in his body and decided to have mutiple "retirements" and rightly got stripped of license. With the exception of the IBF and everyone knew if he didnt fight his mandatory IBF would strip him as they have always been strict with their mandatories. I prefer how the IBF deal with their mandatories rather than the WBC who just make it up as they go along. AJ wins against Whyte, Parker, Ruiz,, Povetkin etc are better than Wilder in my opinion in terms of quality of opponent. Just look how weak Wilders resume is.
To just say a list of fighters on one fighters resume is better than another list on another fighters resume ignores one important factor, and that’s context. For example, Dillian Whyte is currently a great name on the resume’, but when you highlight it was a domestic level bout and they were both inexperienced, it adds more context. Compare that with Wilder, who was unbeaten for about 5 years, knocking people out quite spectacularly, and Fury went to his back yard and smashed him. That’s context. 39 year old, unbeaten for 10 years Klitschko vs 41 year old, coming off a loss Klitschko. It’s not AJ’s fault that Fury lost the belts. Whilst Fury was inactive, he went round and collected them all up. He lost them, he won them back again and overall he deserves credit. He is one of the best heavyweights in the world. I think Fury is number 1 right now though and that can’t be argued. Joshua has an impressive list of names, but I just think Fury at this moment in time, has the better legacy. That may change over time who knows. It’s quite incredible that we have the best heavyweights in the world at present....Fury, Joshua, Whyte, Joyce, Dubois etc.
What a plonker! The PED debacle was BEFORE he fought Wlad. Whyte was a club fighter when AJ bet him. 185 pound Ruiz You're just showing your pure and utter desperation bud. Goodluck with that.
And your opinion is hate filled - null and void mate. When everyone on a boxing forum disagrees with you, you're wrong! End of story.
But there are plenry that agree with me, especially on the matter that were no longer Furys belts when he decided put PEDs and coke in his body, pull out of consecutive fights then retire. It's you that appears to have agenda. I've explained why I i don't believe you can have Fury over AJ as number 1 yet logically,; using the resumes and Ring magazine own rankings ( AJs beteqn many more of their top 10) even citing one of the more knowledgeable boxing journlists that shares my opinion too.
Fury was done for injecting nandorolone into his body for a sample taken in the previous fight to the Wlad fight in the Hammer fight. This wasnt announced publically until after the Wlad fight. Fury on the same day this was made public, pulled out of rematch due to an "ankle injury". Fury was viewed a short time later at the Euros, drunk jumping up and down singing his own name. Do you honestly think that Fury only injected nandorolone for the fight against Christain "got knocked out by Wach" Hammer because he viewed him as such a threat and didn't use it in the fight prior (Chisora) or the fight after (Wlad) or even still have it in his system when pulled out of the rematch?
The drug issue is still a huge issue for Fury, and yes he can say he didn’t lose the titles in the ring, but they’re not still ‘your’ titles when you get popped, banned and then retire. If Joshua does the same thing as of today and doesn’t fight for years, when he comes back those belts aren’t ‘his.’
As stated before the Whyte fight was for the common Wealth and British Titles. However Whyte has since gone on a win streak and now has a more impressive resume than Wilder. I think the narative people put out about Wlad suddenly got old and became half the fighter in the period from the Fury fight vs AJ fight is greatly exaggerated. Wlad was in camps for 2 of the rematches during that time (he wasnt on the couch binging food as portrayed by many on here) and came into the AJ fight in the best physical shape hes been in years and the lightest hes been in 8 years since the Chagaev fight. I just still agree with Steve Kim in that you cant say Fury is number 1 and totally ignore AJ having 3 of the 4 world titles and having beaten much more of the current top 10 (AJs 4 compared Furys 1). Especially when the 4 that AJ has beaten currently have stronger resumes or much better careers wins than Wilder.
But there aren't plenty who agree with you. Vast majority disagree. Adam Smith, sky sports biggest cheerleader dusagrees with you ffs. Only people agreeing with you are Fury haters. My agenda is spreading facts. End of story.
Tested vigorously for Wladimir fight and pissed clean. So yep, no doubts in my mind he was clean for that fight.
Thats due to meida hyperbole of Wilder? Does Wilder have a better resume or is a better fighter than Parker, Povetkin or Whyte? No of course not but he wad hyped to be one of the media "big 3" and overhyped in the way he KO'ed fighters the level of Washington, Szpilka, Arreola, Ortiz and Stiverne.
Wilder ices the three of them IMO. It's not the media calling Tyson the no.1 heavyweight. It's everyone including experts and fans including most AJ fans. It's only the seething haters like yourself who can't deal with it.
So you think he injected PEDs only for the Hammer fight because he saw Hammer as such a threat? Interesting.
No idea when he injected PED's mate, nor do you. But I know he was clean for WK fight after vigorous testing.
Based on what (i would also add Ruiz to that list)? His resume isnt as good these guys so it cant be that? Wilder is a very limited fighter with very poor fundmentals and only has that overhand right. Wilder is effectively Chisora but not as good combination pucnher and with a glass jaw.
