Read my entire post. I rank him, but I put an Asterisk next to his name. There aren't exactly a lot of worthy young heavyweight prospects who deserve a place over him. There's still a chance he gets serious and shows us what he's made of.
Look out for Irish lad Con Sheehan he is 6 foot 4, trains with Virgil Hunter and a good amateur beat some good lads but always came up short with the top boys, has a win over Tony Yoka and was in WSB for a while, makes his debut in Decenmber. Has very fast hands and a good chin, not too much power though.
I wonder why are you questioning Rivas dedication? He was out with injuries for more than two years prior his return to activity.Mind that he had a serious eye injury.
Because he's been moving slowly dude.... Take the 2 or so years out of the mix and he still hasn't exactly done a lot. He turned pro in 2009, 6 years ago last month.
That doesn't mean he isn't serious about boxing. There is a difference. His career has been slowed down considerebly by injuries.
1 Magomed Medzhidov (Azerbaijan/Russia) 2 Filip Hrgovic (Croatia) 3 Ivan Dychko (Kazakhstan) 4 Eric Pfeifer (Germany/Russia) 5 Magomed Omarov (Russia) 6 Mihai Nistor (Romania) 7 Maxim Babanin (Russia) 8 Joe Joyce (GB) 9 Gasan Gimbatov (Russia) 10 Tony Yoka (France) The best prospects are still amateur.. Hopefully some will turn pro after Rio
You have to question someone who either is very injury prone, or who's heart isn't fully in boxing. Regardless a * will be next to Rivas' name as a result. I think he's talent for sure, let's see how his career pans out. :good
